And it seemed that Marcus Junior quite liked punishment spankings, too.

“Oh. I don’t have anything to leave, though,” she said.

“Doesn’t have to be anything precious. Maybe even a note.”

“I have stickers!” she said, clapping her hands. “Marcus bought them for me for Easter. They have the Easter bunny on them. Do you think she likes the Easter bunny?”

“Who wouldn’t like the Easter bunny? He leaves you chocolate. Oh! Does this mean we can take part in the big Easter egg hunt? Please?” Marcus pleaded.

They both stared up at him. As if he could say no.

“Of course you can,” he replied.

“Yay!” Marcus started to dance.

Well, Eliot thought it was dancing. His limbs started moving about in all directions. When he nearly whacked Isla in the face, Eliot picked her up and moved her out of the line of fire.

“That’s his happy dance,” Isla explained.

“But there will be rules,” he warned as Marcus stopped dancing.

“Oh, man. Like what?” Marcus grumbled.

“You cannot eat all the chocolate all at once.”

“That’s not fair. It’s Easter. I should get to eat as much chocolate as I want.”

“And vomit it all back up?” Eliot asked.

“Touché.”

“I’m going to let Derek know that I’m taking responsibility for you both while we’re all here. And talk to your cousin.”

Marcus groaned. “I hope you haven’t got any skeletons in your closet, because Cullen is about to do the washing.”

That wasn’t quite the saying. “No skeletons. I promise.” Eliot led them into the bathroom. “Brush your teeth, go to the toilet, then I’ll tuck you into bed with a story and we can put those stickers out for the sleep fairy.”

“Race you to get ready for bed, La-la.”

“No running!” Eliot ordered as Marcus raced toward the bedroom.

“What? Why? It’s a race.”

“Because you could hurt yourself, that’s why.”

Marcus sighed but walked into the bedroom. Isla gave him a shy look but followed. At a far slower pace.

Isla finished getting ready to bed, then followed Marcus into the bedroom. He ran and jumped on the bed with a whoop. She moved to her suitcase to grab her stickers.

“Marcus! What did I say about running? And jumping onto the bed isn’t safe.”

Marcus pouted over at Eliot. “But I didn’t hurt myself. And I jump on the bed all the time at home.”

“Not anymore. Get down into bed. Isla, those are the stickers?” he asked, walking over to see what she held in her hand. “Those are cute.”

“Do you think she’ll want them all?” She didn’t want the sleep fairy to take every sticker.

“I’m sure she’ll take just one,” Eliot said solemnly. “Why don’t you put them on the bedside table and make a wish to sleep better? Then get into bed on your tummy. I’ve got some cream to put on your back. Afterward, the heating pad will be ready.”

“Oh, you don’t have to,” she told him shyly. Would that mean he’d have his hands on her?

Of course it does, silly.

“Wouldn’t offer if I didn’t want to do it.”

Right. Okay, then. She wasn’t going to argue any further. She set the stickers down and made her wish. Marcus lay on his side, watching her. Reaching out, she took hold of his hand as Eliot lifted her shirt up her back.

“Oh, baby, these look sore.” He traced a finger over her back. “That bastard deserves to be shot.”

“Hopefully, they find him soon,” she whispered. Then she might be able to sleep at night.

“No matter what, I’m going to keep you safe, La-la,” Marcus promised, kissing her cheek.

“I know you will.”

Eliot moved his hands carefully over her back, rubbing in some cream to help with the bruises. It also helped to loosen some of the sore muscles she had from trying to protect her back from further pain.

“I was going to suggest we go to the arcade tomorrow, but I don’t think that would be a good idea. What about swimming?”

“I love swimming!” Marcus said.

“Are there any Easter activities you want to do with the other Littles?”

“Just the big Easter hunt,” Marcus said eagerly. “Maybe some of the other activities, too. I guess we could go look at what there is. What do you say, La-la?”

“The hunt sounds fun. I’m not a very good swimmer, though.”

“I won’t let anything happen to you,” Eliot echoed Marcus’ words from earlier. “We also need to take you back to the shop to get your special stuffie. We can do that tomorrow too. And perhaps you’d like to try a few other things.”

“Like what?” she whispered.

“We can have a look tomorrow and see. I’m going to put the heating pad on your back now.”

Oh, so he was going to stop touching her? That was disappointing. She was all worked up, her clit throbbing.

She looked at Marcus, hoping he wasn’t upset at her reaction, but he just grinned at her, winking.

She should have known he’d be fine. This was what he wanted, too.
