We stilled, and I slid from the seat to the bottom of the tub, submerging us both. Amy sputtered a little, coughing and laughing.
“Don’t drown me, Simon.”
“Better a little unwanted water down your throat than frostbite, Chippy.”
“Play your cards right, I’ll have something else down my throat later,” she mumbled.
I began to laugh, and I kissed her. “I’ll hold you to that.”
She grinned up at me. “You will, will you?”
I traced her lips with my finger. “I do love how this mouth of yours feels on my cock.”
She bit my finger, and her eyes widened at the sensation of my cock beginning to lengthen again.
“Seriously, Simon, you need to have a talk with him. How can you possibly be ready to go again?”
“The promise of your mouth did it. Me talking to him will do nothing. But an in-depth conversation with you might do the trick.”
She wrapped her hand around me. “Or make it worse,” she said with a grin.
“We’ll never know until we try.”
She eyed the cedar deck on the hot tub. “Outside or in, Simon?”
The thought of her hot mouth around my cock while the rest of my body was cold somehow turned me on. I looked at her with a grin. “Can you make it fast?”
“Baby, you know I can.”
“Frostbite, here I come.”
Saturday was spent exploring the town. Doing some shopping. Amy amazed me. She looked at local crafts, helped me pick a stunning black-and-white photo for my bedroom. The dark clouds and shadows on the water were highlighted by the whitecaps between them. It was a large, striking piece.
“That would look perfect on the wall across from your bed,” Amy mused.
I bent low and kissed her ear. “Our bed.”
She shivered.
I bought it.
Not once did she ask me to buy her something. There were no hints, no long looks or exaggerated sighs. Her only demand was a cup of coffee and a shared piece of cake at a small bakery. I told her how refreshing it was to be with her. She tilted her head, studying me.
“Kelsey did a number on you, didn’t she?”
“Yeah. And I’m sorry. I shouldn’t compare you. It’s night and day. And in case you don’t realize it, Chippy—you’re the light, not the darkness.”
Still, I snuck a couple of purchases I planned to give her later. We bought Mia a pair of fuzzy slippers that looked like boots and a pretty new coat for the winter. It was floral with a big hood and an extra lining that could be taken out, although Amy assured me she would need it for the upcoming weather.
We went to the happy hour, visiting with some other couples staying at the resort and Alex and Dylan. Their children were there, their daughter reminding me of Mia. She adored Dylan, and the feeling was mutual. It was nice to see another father and daughter as close as Mia and I were. I was surprised when Alex told me Dylan was the girl’s stepdad.
“But that doesn’t matter to either of them,” she said, her love-filled gaze on them. “They belong to each other.”
“It’s that way for Amy with my daughter,” I agreed.
“Then she’s a keeper.”
I met Amy’s eyes across the room with a smile.
“Yeah, she is.”
We ate dinner in the cabin, the meal set up by the staff at the table overlooking the water. The food was incredible, and we were relaxed and content. Mia had loved her sleepover and was having a great time with Evan and Holly, so our worries were groundless. When I called earlier, she talked fast and hung up, anxious to get back to her day. I was thrilled to know how well she was doing. After dinner, we sat in the hot tub again, the temperature far too cold to be adventuresome, but we made up for it in front of the fireplace later.
On Sunday morning, it was hard to leave the resort, but we had to return to reality. I had accomplished exactly what I wanted. Time alone with Amy. We talked, laughed, made love over and over again, and enjoyed the beauty of the cottage and the peace of being just us. I somehow fell even deeper in love than I had been when we arrived. We were closer than ever. Set in our relationship and going forward. It made leaving easier. I made a silent promise to myself to bring Mia and Amy here in the winter. It would be a nice break, and they would enjoy themselves.
Our trip to Ontario was only two weeks away, and we chatted about it on the drive back home. Everyone was excited, and all of us were looking forward to the family adventure.
I smiled as I pulled into the driveway and Mia ran from the house, waving excitedly.
“Welcome home, Amy,” I murmured. “Someone is excited to see us.”
