“Bewwies!” Austin bellows, pointing to the kitchen.

I step inside the kitchen and stop in my tracks. Abigail sits in the high chair, eating freshly cut strawberries and blueberries, and my beautiful wife is standing at the sink, washing dishes. It’s the most normal thing in the world, but it means more to me than I ever thought anything could.

“Dada!” Abigail proclaims, pointing at me from her chair. She’s smiling, having just turned two, and makes the motion for me to pick her up.

“Finish your snack, and then I’ll get you out of there, bug,” I tell my daughter, kissing the crown of her dark head before setting Austin back in his booster seat. “Finish eating your berries, and then I’ll help you get washed up.”

“’Kay!”

I turn toward the sink and smile. Faith is watching me, leaning against the counter. My cock takes notice of her tight leggings and her fitted top, stirring to life at the sight of her. “Hello, my wife.”

She steps forward and throws her arms around my neck, kissing my lips. I can taste strawberry, one of her favorite afternoon snacks these last few weeks. “Hello, my husband,” she whispers, wrapping her arms around my waist.

I slide my hands down her back and around her sides until they land on the swell of her stomach. “How’s my baby treating you today?”

Faith is five months pregnant with baby number three, and though she swears this is it, I’m secretly hoping I can convince her to have more. Faith is not only the best kindergarten teacher I know, but she’s the best mother too.

“She’s been playing bongos on my bladder,” Faith grumbles, but quickly smiles.

Bending down, I put my mouth right beside her belly and say, “Listen here, Alex Morgan, I’m going to need you to stop abusing your mama’s bladder.” I then place a loud kiss on her belly, as I do every time I get home from work. Or when I leave. Or just randomly, because seeing my wife’s pregnant stomach is the sexiest fucking thing in the world.

And cue my cock once more…

“Maybe that’s what we’ll name her. Alex.”

“It’s fitting,” I reply, gently rubbing up her back and massaging her shoulder blades.

“Oh, God,” she moans, closing her eyes and swaying into me. “That feels so good.”

I snort. “You’re turning me on,” I whisper so little ears can’t hear.

She chuckles and lets me work over the knots in her shoulders. “How was work?” she asks, keeping her eyes closed.

“Not bad. A few traffic stops and a domestic call,” I tell her.

“I don’t like you responding to those,” she mutters.

I know she worries about it, but it’s the job.

After being honorably discharged from the military, I promptly enrolled in the police academy in Ohio, where we finally relocated to. Moving back near our family was the right move for us, especially with our son. Faith was desperate to be close to her mom and dad, as well as Shayne and Ford, and we’re a short drive away from my family in Kentucky.

She was able to find a kindergarten position right here in Cooper, which was a dream come true for her. She’s one of two teachers at that grade level, her mom being the other.

I graduated from the academy and secured a job through our local Cooper PD. I just completed my probationary period and am out patrolling solo. I enjoy my job. It gives me that sense of pride in being able to give back to my community and allows me to not only provide for my family, but I’m home with them every night. Daddy no longer has to leave for months at a time, and I never will. Not unless Faith and our kids are with me. I can’t go that long without them. Never again.

We’ve settled into this stage of our life with ease, and every day brings new memories and new adventures. I can still remember the day I married her, and I thought I couldn’t love her more, but I was wrong. My wife, she’s a part of me. She’s the other half of my soul. She’s given me two, soon to be three, and hopefully more beautiful children, in addition to her heart. There are no greater gifts than that.

No more long hot days beneath the desert sun. No more letters or grainy video calls. No more living for mail day. Instead, I come home to this. My wife and kids who are just as excited to see me as I am them.

My family. My heart. My world.
