"And us," Adalynn says, laughing.
"I'm not telling."
"Not even a hint?" Heidi pouts. "Well, you're no fun. I don't even have a sex life. I need to live vicariously through you."
"No way."
She scrunches up her nose at me. "You suck."
"I do," I whisper, wiggling my brows.
Her mouth falls open in shock and then all five of us fall into a fit of laughter.
"Oh my gosh!" Charlie cries, catapulting off the bed. "You're naked, and you have sex now." She points at the bed. "You had sex in this bed, didn't you?"
My sisters flee the bed as quickly as they descended on it, shrieking.
I don't bother telling them that I was too sad and miserable to have sex last night. Watching them squirm is way more fun.
Eventually, they opt to pile up at the very foot of the bed, their legs drawn up to their chests as if to keep their feet in the safe zone. As if there's a safe zone when Bonx and I are together. I don't tell them that, either.
"Are you happy, Gemma?" Leia asks, watching my face.
"So freaking happy."
"He's good to you?"
"So good," I whisper, tears welling in my eyes.
"Holy crap." Heidi eyes me in shock. "You're in love with him."
I nod, not denying it. How can I? Why would I? Every piece of me belongs to him. I'll never deny that. Not for any reason. Not to anyone. "He's my whole heart," I say. It's the simplest, yet most profound truth I've ever spoken. He's my heart.
By the time my sisters leave an hour later, I finally feel at peace for the first time in my life. For once, all my cards are on the table, and the people closest to me know who I really am and what I want in life. And they didn't flip out. They didn't shame me. They aren't afraid of anyone finding out about the club. They don't care if I'm the perfect little angel or a sassy little brat. They just want the same things for me that I want for them.
Deep down, I think I knew that. But when you want something so badly, sometimes, the whispers of your heart get drowned out by the screams of your fear. Mine did.
Bronx walks in the door five minutes after they leave, looking anxious and worried. His eyes immediately come to me as he drops his keys on the table by the door. He kicks his shoes off and then crosses the room to me, pulling me up off the couch.
"You look better."
"Keen observation, Mr. Kaiser."
"It went well with your sisters?"
"They wanted to burn your bed. They're convinced we had sex in it."
"We haven't fucked in that bed yet."
"I like how you said yet."
"Noticed that, did you?"
"I did, indeed."
"How'd it go, Dilemma?"
"Really good, Bronx. Really, really good." I loop my arms around his neck, meeting his gaze as tears burn at the backs of my eyelids. "For the first time, I feel like they finally understand who I am and what I want."
"And they're okay with that?"
I nod. "I'm sure there will be hiccups along the way. I mean, they've only been overprotective my whole life. They're not just going to magically stop overnight. But they're willing to try."
He hooks his arm around my waist, pulling me up against his body. "I'm proud of you, beautiful."
"Me too," I whisper. "How did it go with Garrett and Razor?"
"Colter and Xavier were there too."
"Seriously? The whole freaking family turned up to have a showdown with us today?" I groan, faceplanting into his chest. "Why am I not surprised?"
"Because you know how much they love you," he murmurs.
"Did it go okay?"
"Garrett hit me."
"What?" I jerk backward, shocked. "He hit you?"
"I let him."
I gape at him. "You let him hit you."
"I took his baby sister into a sex club, tied her to my bed, and fucked her. And I did it knowing she was his baby sister. So yeah, I let him hit me, Dilemma."
"Well, put that way, it does sound bad."
"Yeah, it does," he says, chuckling. "But we hashed it out. He threatened to hide the pieces of my body if I broke your heart. Your brothers-in-law threatened to help. And then we had a beer and waited for you and your sisters to finish your fight."
"We weren't fighting."
"Baby." He cracks a smile. "You cried all night."
"That doesn't mean we were fighting," I mumble.
"You thought they hated you."
"Fine. Maybe we had a minor disagreement."
He laughs again, scooping me up into his arms.
"Where are we going?"
"Your sisters already think we fucked in the bed, Dilemma. We're going to rectify the situation."
"By setting the record straight?"
"Hell no," he says, carrying me toward the stairs. "We're going to fuck all over the bed. I have a plan."
"Does it involve rope?"
"Not this time. But it does involve me seeing how many times I can make you come before you pass out."
