"There are only a few things left to sign." She comes around my desk, placing the folder down without handing it to me. “Here.” She holds out a pen for me.

“I have one.” I grab it off my desk, and she flips the folder open, leaning over to point where to sign. I lean away from her, the smell of her overpowering perfume burning my nose.

“Can you back—"

“Afternoon.” My head jerks up at the sound of June’s voice. Dana jumps back, almost tripping over those heels she always wears.

“Kitten.” I stand. “I was about to come up.”

“Were you now?” She’s wearing an expression I’ve only seen one other time, and that’s when I was trying to take my sister away from her. It’s her don’t fuck with me expression.

“We just need to take care of a few more things, if you don’t mind,” Dana cuts in.

“I mind.” I glanced over the documents quickly before signing them. “Go,” I tell her.

June opens my office door for her. “I’ll see you tomorrow, sir. Let me know if you need anything at all.”

“I’ve got my man handled, but thanks,” June tells her as she passes by. Dana stiffens but doesn’t respond. June lets the door fall closed, leaving us alone. It’s how I like it.

“Come here, kitten.” I sit back down in my chair, wanting to see her in my office. Her cowboy boots click on the floor, and my cock is already growing hard. I push my chair back to make more than enough room for her.

June crawls right into my lap, straddling me. It makes the jean skirt she’s wearing ride up. A little bit more, and I would be able to see her panties. I press the button under my desk and lock the door.

“You’re in trouble.” She undoes my tie before pulling it off.

“Why?” I grip her ass. If this is her idea of me being in trouble, I might be in it a lot more in the future.

“How do you not know why? Are you really that oblivious to what’s going on around here?” Shit, I’m an asshole. I hate all of this.

“I know. I’m sorry. I’m trying to get the project complete.”

“It’s not that, Luka.” Her lips purse. “How come I can’t go to lunch with Owen? My one and only friend here, who happens to be gay, but you can have an assistant who looks like Barbie up your ass all day, and I don’t say shit about it.”

“Owen is gay?” That makes me feel marginally better, but I thought I was asexual until June. She has the ability to turn your world upside down. My kitten is irresistible. If she belonged to someone else, I’d be trying to steal her away. I don’t care if that’s fucked up or not. She’s mine.

“Luka.” Her shoulders drop. I'm screwing it all up.

“I’m a jealous asshole. Can you blame me? He gets to spend the day with you, and I’m down here.”

“With Barbie.” What is she talking about?

“The doll?” June rolls her eyes at me. I give her ass a small smack, making her gasp.

“Don’t spank me. You’re the one in trouble here.”

“Fine, you can have lunch with Owen.” I give. I don’t like it, but it’s the least I can do for the time being. I wonder if Owen has a boyfriend.

“Luka, I’m freaking talking about Dana.” She grips the front of my button-up shirt.

“What about her?”

“She’s Barbie. Oh, my God. You’re supposed to be super smart.” I'm apparently not that smart.

“Dana is Barbie. That’s what you’re saying.”

“Ah, yeah.” I’m still not sure of the point here. “She’s in love with you.”

“Dana?”

June's face plants into my chest. “You’re so dense,” I think I hear her say, but it’s muffled.

“Kitten,” I say, rubbing my hand up her back under her shirt.

“What?” She slowly lifts her head, her eyes meeting mine.

“If she is, I had no idea. I’ll handle it.”

“Don’t fire her.” June looks so sad, and all I want to do is fix it.

“I can transfer her.” I don’t want June to have any worries about me at my office. This is all already hard enough. She has given up so much to be here with me.

“No, it’s fine.” She lets out a small sigh. "I think I'm jealous too. I know you’d never let anything happen with her. I mean, she’s never been inappropriate with you, has she? Like all touchy?”

“No,” I say without having to think about it. I am barely okay with having to shake people's hands. “But I’ll keep a better eye if you won’t allow me to transfer her.”

“I’m good with that, but I know I might end up saying something to her. I’ve bitten my tongue, but I’m not going to anymore. Now that I know she’s crushing on you.”

"You can tell her anything you want. She works for us, kitten.”
