We were having so much fun as the evening went on that I all but forgot his presence. Until his table got up to leave. I held my breath waiting for him to approach, or not. It was obvious that they were quite a few people here who knew who she was and that he used to be her father in law not that long ago.
If he made the mistake of coming to our table he was gonna get his ass handed to him. Which I pretty much told him with the look I threw his way. Obviously he didn’t come our way and once he cleared the room she got the damn shakes.
“You’re doing good baby, just keep your eyes on me.” Kev and Dave started talking shit to lighten the mood, Kev talking about his fear of her friend, which seemed to work taking her mind off her fear. For a first run-in I’d have to say that shit was boss.
By the time we headed out her hand was steady in mine and she had this look. It looked the way I imagined a first grader would look after accomplishing a great fete. It may seem like nothing much to some, but I knew better than anyone else, what that move meant to her.
Giselle
I can’t believe I did it. Although my knees were shaking like a leaf when we left the table, I was proud of myself. I thought for sure that it would take me months, even years, before I could face him again, or be anywhere near him. But Gavin’s care these past few weeks had gone a long way to making me understand some things.
My in laws too, with their almost daily calls have had a strange effect on me. For someone who’s been an orphan from a very young age, having a mother and father who were genuine was something I never thought to have. But that’s what they said they were.
My mother in law especially, without having to be told, treated me like a survivor. She didn’t pry but I got the sense that she knew without having to be told at least some of what I’d been through.
When I told Gavin that I felt like a fraud because of what I’d done to Vance he told me not to be an ass and that was that. Now I sat in the back of the car on the way home with his hand gripped tightly in mine as I fought off the shakes.
GAVIN
She’s wound tight as a drum and her silence on the way home told me she was in her head again. She was silent all the way up in the elevator and then we walked through the door… and she jumped me. Right there in the living room in front of the big window that only a few nights ago she was too shy to fuck in front of.
When she bit me, I laughed and when she tried to break my cock off with her tight as fuck pussy, I flung her to her back and pounded the shit out of her until we ended up on the floor. And even then I didn’t stop. Once I made sure that she was okay and hadn’t been hurt in the fall.
My back was raw from her scratches and my lips sore from her biting the shit out of them but all in all I was a happy camper by the time I off loaded deep inside her. “I want to make him pay.” The words came from somewhere around my chest.
I didn’t pick my head up, just rubbed her shoulders. Two seconds later she was in tears and it all came pouring out. Everything she’d been holding inside, all the fears and injustices she’d suffered. “Okay baby, we’ll get him.” She seemed to calm down after that and we laid there until she fell asleep. I got up and took her to bed while I sat up late into the night staring into the dark.
I replayed the evening in my head and as proud as I was of her, I don’t think she quite understands the kind of man the senator is. She didn’t give me any idea what she meant about getting him, but I’m not about to let her get anywhere near that fuck.
Dad wasn’t sharing what it was that he was doing about the news report and I was still waiting for the asshole to give me a reason. I’m thinking after tonight I wouldn’t have long to wait. The look he gave us before leaving the restaurant tonight pretty much said he was about to lose his shit.
That’s exactly what I wanted but I didn’t necessarily want her to be the one to push him over the edge. The reports from the intern, Holly is her name, had been showing a solid decline in his mental state.
