My body is still convulsing when he finds his climax. He is silent as he spills into me, his eyes wide open and staring into mine.

And I feel—truly feel—that our souls connect in that moment.

“I love you,” I whisper in his ear.

He pulls out of me slowly and rolls onto his back as he catches his breath. “Fuck. I love you.” A moment later he props his head on his shoulder and turns to me. “We’re going to have an amazing life together, Ariel.”

“Will we live in New Orleans?” I ask.

“I love the Big Easy,” he says, “but we can live wherever you’d like.”

“I think I’d like to live in New Orleans. But I hate to leave Mama alone. She depends on me, for help and stuff.”

He brushes a piece of hair off my forehead. “She’ll come with us if she wants,” he says. “I know how much your mama means to you.”

As if I couldn’t love him more.

“Plus, I want to taste all the great home cooking of hers that you talk about. And no more waitressing for you, young lady. You don’t have to work at all. You’re marrying a billionaire, after all.”

“What if I want to work?”

“Then you’ll work.”

“Could I go to college?”

“Of course.”

I roll into him and kiss his lips. “You’ve made my dreams come true, Alex.”

“No more than you’ve made mine come true.” He smiles. “Evangeline is planning our big day for tomorrow.”

“Tomorrow?”

“Yeah. I want to be your husband as soon as possible.”

“Can Mama come?”

“Everything’s already in the works, baby.” He kisses my forehead. “All I need to know is anything special that you’d like.”

“I’ve always dreamed of a Southern wedding with magnolias, peach blossoms, and pecan pies,” I say, my voice dreamy as I picture it in my mind. “Can we do that?”

His eyes light up, a testament to his excitement. “Of course, we can. Anything you want, Ariel.”

“And maybe some jazz during the reception?”

He chuckles softly, pulling me closer to his warm body. “Ariel darling, if you want a full-blown Mardi Gras parade marching through the wedding, I’ll make it happen.”

I giggle at the thought, burying my face into his chest. I can’t believe I’m going to have the wedding of my dreams with the man of my dreams.

“What about you?” I ask after a moment of comfortable silence. “What’s your dream wedding?”

He hums thoughtfully. “Honestly,” he begins, his voice soft and sincere, “all I ever wanted was to marry the woman I love, have her walk down the aisle toward me in a beautiful dress. That’s you, Ariel. I want to see your eyes light up as we exchange vows, I want to dance with you as my wife.”

His words make my heart flutter like the wings of a hummingbird.

“Can we do all that here? By tomorrow?”

He bursts into laughter, and I realize the silliness of my question.

Of course we can.

He’s a billionaire!

“Promise me one thing, Alex,” I say, my voice barely above a whisper.

“Anything, Ariel.”

I take a deep breath, meeting his gaze with all the love I have for him. “Promise me that we’ll always be honest with each other. That we’ll communicate and never let anything come between us.”

He pulls me closer. “I promise,” he murmurs into my hair. “I promise to always be honest, to always communicate, and to always put us first.”

I let his words sink in when my stomach lets out an unladylike growl.

“Oh,” I groan. “Sorry.”

“I also promise to feed you, baby, whenever you’re hungry.” He kisses me and then rises. “What’s your pleasure this morning?”

I glance at his gorgeous cock. “Well...”

“I promise you can have all you want of that...after breakfast.” He gestures toward the bathroom. “Join me in the shower?”

“Always,” I say as I scramble out of bed. I’m ready to jump in when someone knocks on the door.

“Just a minute,” I tell Alex, who’s already under the water. “Someone’s at the door.”

“Someone can wait,” he says. “Get in here, baby. Get in here so I can fuck you again.”

EPISODE 184

SIENNA'S GIFT TO BRETT

Brett

I stare at Sienna.

She’s still sleeping, her silky hair fanned out across the pillow.

She’s so beautiful, and her hair is...

Is she a dark blonde or a light brunette?

The colors meld together in the morning light, like the last glow of a sunset merging with the onset of twilight. I reach out to brush a stray curl away from her face.

Her breaths are soft, rhythmic, the only sound breaking through the early morning silence. I count them, syncing my own breaths to hers. It’s calming, grounding me in this moment that feels too good to be real.

Love.

It’s been so elusive.

I felt it for Jake all those years ago, and I almost got comfortable with never feeling that raw passion and desire again...until Sienna.

It’s different, though. Hell, I was fifteen when I had those feelings for Jake. I’m a grown man now, and it’s different, but no less intense. If anything, it’s more so. There’s not just teenage lust here, but a deep, resonant connection that arcs between us like electricity.
