“Sophie?”

“I’ve got an email. I think it’s from them.”

I open the door immediately. I know who she’s talking about—the people who sent her the crush video. Oh, fuck. I should slam the door right in her face.

She’s standing there in a baggy T-shirt with a Taxi Driver print on it and nothing else. Well, shorts, but they’re short. It looks like she’s naked from the waist down at certain angles so that when I make her wet, her juices will slide down her thighs.

She knows what I’m thinking. I can read it in the redness of her face, her mouth slightly open. Her eyes move to my groin, then snap back to my face. If she bites her lip now, I won’t be able to resist. I might not even kiss her. Just grab her shoulders and spin her around, drive my solidness against her ass.

She hands me her phone. “Look…” Our hands brush. Energy sparks between us, hot and inviting.

I read the email. Tomorrow, during the interview, you will say that Kaleb Kennison paid you to throw that woman’s phone. If you don’t, we release the video.

“I’ll call the security firm,” I tell her. “Give them the email address. Maybe they can trace it.”

“What are we going to do?” she says anxiously, following me into my suite. Naturally, without discussing it, we walk into the living room. She sits opposite me, and… oh, hell. She has to be doing this on purpose. She’s not wearing a bra, her big tits outlined beneath the fabric.

“I don’t know,” I reply.

“If I say that, everybody will think you’re the bad guy. They’ll think you’re just another grimy billionaire. This whole PR thing will fail. The company will lose money. People will lose their jobs.”

“If you don’t say it,” I growl, “the whole world will see that video, including Paul.”

“So you want me to tank your company, do you?” she snaps.

I groan. “Let me call the firm. Get them on the case.”

After handling the call—pacing as I talk, with Sophie wrapping a hairband around her wrist—I sit down again. “They’ve tracked the memory drive to a courier service.”

“How did they do that?”

“The specific type of envelope used, apparently,” I reply.

“What are the chances this envelope chase saves our asses in…” She glances at the clock. “Sixteen hours?”

“I don’t know,” I snap. “I don’t have any answers.”

“You don’t have to get mad at me.”

“I can’t even look at you with your tits out like that.”

She gasps, looking at me like I’m the biggest douche who’s ever lived, and she’s probably right. “They’re not out.”

“You know how irresistible you are to me,” I growl. “You know how difficult it is. Look at your body, Sophie—those thick legs, those round, perfect tits. You’re so damn beautiful, too.”

She turns from anger to a different kind of passion. “This isn’t helping,” she whispers.

I stand, go to the window, and stare into the darkness. In the reflection, I can see Sophie adjusting her shorts, drawing attention to those perfect, naked legs.

“We’ll have to let them release the video,” Sophie says. “It’s just a video of a silly girl with a silly crush. It’s not like they’ve got a photo of us or anything.”

“Everybody will see it, Sophie,” I tell her.

“I can handle that. It’ll be embarrassing, but if it’s a choice between that and the company tanking, I have to make the right one.”

“But what if…”

She stands and walks over to me. I almost yell at her to get away. She has to know she can’t stand this close to me without the fire getting too hot. “What, Kaleb?”

I turn, reach out—God help me—and grab her hips. She gasps in that cute-as-fuck way when I pull her right up against me. “What if we get together one day? What if everybody knows it started with a crush?”

“Why does that matter?” she asks when she should say, We can’t be together.

“It’s bad enough, me being twice your age, you being Paul’s sister. With the crush as well—”

“You shouldn’t care what people think,” she says.

“It won’t just affect us. If we ever decided to…”

What the fuck am I about to say? If we ever decided to start a family. I’m talking way too far into the future. My hands sink deeper into Sophie’s hips. I can see from the look in her wide, excited eyes that she knows what I was going to say without having to ask.

“I don’t see any other choice,” she murmurs. “I can’t tell the world you’re a bad guy.”

But she doesn’t understand. By doing this, by leaning down and kissing her again when I know I shouldn’t, I am a bad guy. Lifting her off her feet and carrying her to the couch makes me a monster, but I can’t stop. I don’t want to. I’m too obsessed with her.
