“I agreed. So, unless you plan to do something with that…” his eyes scan my body luridly, “… I would get dressed before I can’t contain myself any longer.”

“You wouldn’t touch me without my permission.”

“I can tell you want me, even if you think you don’t.” Atlas stands and stalks toward me.

“It’s not you I want…” My eyes drop to what’s between his legs, and I smirk.

“You can have it, touch it, anytime you want.”

I watch as his cock twitches right in front of me. “I think I’ll give that a hard pass,” I reply. Stepping back, I slide on the shirt and quickly do up the buttons. “Now, can you feed me? I’m starving,” I say while moving well away from him.

Someone brings in food an hour later, and it’s not like the other days. This time, the door is left open as two silver trays are placed on the bed. Atlas walks out dressed in a black suit, and I have to glance away. He looks so good, almost as good as he does out of it.

“I see the food has arrived,” he says.

I sit, placing the pillow on top of my legs and take the lid off the cloche. My mouth starts salivating at what I see. The trays are full of pancakes, bacon, fruit, and hash browns. I want it all. I pick up a piece of bacon and place it in my mouth, it crunches as I take a bite. Atlas takes a piece as well with his fingers, placing it between those sinful lips.

“I want you,” he says, making me choke on the juice I just swallowed. I wipe at my mouth and look up at him. “You know I do, it just took me some time to come around to that fact.”

I say nothing and go back to my juice.

“Theadora,” he says.

I pull the glass away from my lips and focus all my attention on him. “You can’t think just because you say some words I’ll fall at your feet and give myself to you again, right?”

“Well…”

I laugh. “Oh my God, you did. So, let me get this straight. First, you kidnap me. Then you use me. Then we start something…” I indicate between us, “… which I thought at the time I could forgive you for everything you did to me because maybe… just maybe, that was a different side of you. So, I let myself fall into you…” I pause, taking a deep breath. “Then you leave me again, ignore me, and act like I’m the scum beneath your feet. Actually, probably worse than that.” I shake my head. “Then, oh wait… I’m still not finished… then you kidnap me… again.” I throw my head back in laughter. “You have got to be kidding me, right?” With all laughter gone, I rise from the bed and cross my arms over my chest. “I’d like to go home now.”

“Well, when you put it like that… sure, I went about this all the wrong way...” I slide on my shoes, and when I straighten, he is directly in front of me. “Give me a chance, Theadora. You know I’m not a man to ask, I take what I want, but in your case, I am asking.”

“You can’t just take someone when you want them, Atlas. This is not the way the world works.”

“It does for me,” he replies smugly. When he notices I am not impressed, he shakes his head. “Let me try? I will try not to kidnap you again. How about that?”

“Oh, how sweet… what romantic words you whisper to me,” I say with an overexaggerated eye roll.

He stares at me, locking eyes. “Theadora.”

“Yes, Atlas.”

“I can always spank you for insubordination.”

“You could try, and you would probably succeed. But do you think winning me back will go well with you going against my will, yet again?”

“It worked out great for me last time,” he says, and his eyes darken. I can tell he’s thinking about all the times his hands were on my body.

“It won’t this time. I can see through you now, Atlas. You wanted me because I was something you couldn’t have. Then when you had me, you were quick to ditch me. And now I don’t want you again, you want me. It’s a comical roundabout you are traveling. Maybe I should tell Lucy to act like she doesn’t want you. Maybe then you will want her, and then you two can be happy together.”

“I will never be happy with anyone but you. I know this for a fact now,” he says, then walks past me, opening the door. “We have a plane to catch, Theadora.” Atlas walks out, and I follow him.

When we step outside the apartment the island is empty, not like the last time I came here. He’s brought me out here, just me and a few of his staff.
