“Seriously, Coach, thank you,” Georgia says as we disperse and the players are told to go get changed and cleaned up.

I shake my head, looking at the team who all have huge smiles on their faces. Iris shuffles closer to me, leaning into my side. I wrap my arm around her, holding her close.

“I’m damn proud of you all,” I tell them honestly. “You were amazing today.”

When the rest of them are gone and Iris and I are alone outside the locker room, I lean down and whisper, “I’ll reward you later, little brat. You did so fucking good. Maybe you do know how to be a good girl after all.”

I love the way she shivers in response, her pupils dilating even as her full lips curve into that smirk that makes me hard in seconds. “I can’t wait,” she says with a wink, tugging me down for a kiss.

Neither can I, I think as I kiss her—my little brat, my talented girl, my future wife.

EXTENDED EPILOGUE

IRIS

Three Years Later

“I’ve gone from kicking the ball down the field to maneuvering a stroller through restaurant tables,” I laugh, adjusting the stroller so it's right beside my seat and I can see our sleeping newborn clearly.

My mouth waters at the first glance at the menu, already knowing what I want. We’re in the same restaurant Isaac brought me to on our first date when we were still wary of being seen together four years ago. It’s nostalgic and cute as hell, and the second I told Isaac I was craving the loaded fries here, he drove me over in a heartbeat.

“And you’re the best of the best at both,” Isaac says with a chuckle as he sits across from me, grinning as his gaze slides to our little girl, asleep and adorable. “You’ve got the best Mommy ever, Daisy,” he coos at our daughter, who makes the cutest little sleepy noise but doesn’t stir.

My heart’s so full it could burst. I have everything I could ever want—an amazing husband, the career of my dreams (which I’ll be right back to after my maternity leave is up), the sweetest baby girl ever, and in about five minutes since Isaac’s just ordered for us, a plate of delicious loaded fries. What else could a girl ask for?

“She’s got the best Daddy, too,” I tell Isaac, reaching for his hand across the table.

He twines his fingers with mine, and I still get butterflies when he looks at me like this. “We’ve come a hell of a long way since that first time in the locker room,” he murmurs, making me fall into a fit of laughter.

“I wouldn’t have it any other way,” I tell him honestly. From that first time in the locker room to winning the championships, getting married, starting my pro career, and having Daisy, the last four years have been a total whirlwind and one I wouldn’t change for anything.

“We’ll need to get her into soccer lessons the second she can walk,” Isaac jokes, and I shove a fry into my mouth before answering.

“Don’t need lessons when she’s got a coach as a Dad,” I point out with a raised brow. “You’ll have her kicking a ball about the house as soon as she can stand.”

We both laugh at that, though the image fills me with warmth. Our journey has been full of chaos and adrenaline and love in the most amazing way, and now that we have our own little family, I know the future is going to be even better.

The End. Thanks for reading!
