All thats left to do now is...this.

My mood swings back and forth between panic and excitement as I take the elevator to the hotel's penthouse floor. A part of me wonders how a "mere" doctor can afford to rent this, but then again...

Someone like me shouldn't have been able to afford SFI's fees either, but here I am, making full use of its services.

Hmm.

Since Maddie did sort of vouch for him, maybe he's one of her grandpa's doctors, and the old man had thought a contract with SFI would make a great gift for Dr. Somebody?

Whatever.

I've just realized that there really is a lot I still don't know about him, but I can't seem to make myself think of him as a stranger.

There's just something about Dr. Somebody that makes me feel perfectly at ease even when he has me all hot and bothered. This is going to sound terribly un-Leah-like, but it really does feel like we're soulmates. And when I'm finally standing outside his hotel room, and it's Dr. Somebody who opens the door—-

Oh my God.

I can only choke and laugh even as I feel my cheeks heat up and my pussy start to quiver.

Dr. Somebody is standing in front of me with his big, hard body dripping wet from the shower, a tiny towel wrapped around his hips, and a medical mask covering his face.

It's just the most outrageous thing ever, but it's also exactly what I needed to see to relax.

This is why, even though he's still a stranger to me in many ways...

This is why I think he's my soulmate.

This is why I want to give myself to him.

This is why I know it's time I admit the truth.

I'm in love with a man whose face I haven't even seen.

Seventeen

"Oh no, Doctor."

The words come out all shaken and distressed, and real-life Leah is cringing inside of me because of it.

"Did I catch you at a bad time?"

"I'm sorry," he says without missing a beat. "I thought you were the housekeeper."

He doesn't even blink as he utters the lie, and I'm not sure whether this impresses or worries me. He sure is good at lying, isn't he?

Dr. Somebody steps back. "Please come in."

Since I'm pretty sure even someone as innocent as Temptation would think twice about his invitation—-

"Are you sure, Doctor?" I tiptoe and pretend to peer hesitantly over at his shoulder. "I could wait outside if you wish..."

"Not much point in doing that, since this is where you'll be having your treatment."

"Oh." I can barely hear myself over the the sound of my heart pounding, and it beats even harder and faster as I finally step inside the suite and Dr. Somebody closes the door behind me.

The penthouse suite is even fancier than I imagined it to be. It has its own infinity pool, a massage room, and a wraparound balcony that happens to overlook Biscayne Bay.

Eep.

I look away the moment I spot the familiar outline of Lady Panda at the marina. It's a beautiful sight, sure, but looking at it only reminds me of the fact that I had to lie to Nik about my whereabouts, which I absolutely hated doing.

"Everything alright?"

I turn around as soon as I hear his voice, and I feel like fanning myself when I'm once again confronted by the sight of his rock-hard abs.

Seriously, though.

How does a doctor end up with a six-pack?

Does he do pull-ups between appointments? Attach fifty kilos of dextrose to IV stands so he can bench press during breaks?

The mind boggles, really, but since I find the sight of his naked chest all too distracting—-

"I'm, um, fine, but..." I clear my throat and gesture vaguely towards him. "Aren't you feeling cold, Doctor? I won't mind waiting while you put some clothes on."

"Unfortunately, Temptation...you should mind."

Now, this I have to hear.

"Time is of the essence when it comes to your treatment," he says gravely, "and now that I've seen you..." Dr. Somebody slowly shakes his head. "The signs are all there, Temptation."

Oh...really?

"You require an injection as soon as possible."

While his tone remains utterly sober, it's his beautiful green eyes that give him away.

Those eyes are totally laughing at me right now since we both know everything he's said is a load of crap.

But because we also know I'm trapped in my role as sweet, gullible Temptation—-

I cover my mouth as I let out a horrified gasp. "Oh no."

"I know you're scared—-"

"I am, Doctor."

"But as long as you promise to follow my every instruction, you won't have to worry about anything. Can you promise me that?"

This. Is. It.

While one part of me wants to say 'forget it' and run away without looking back—-

It's the part of me that's already accepted he's the man I love that wins, and so I hear myself whisper, "Yes, Doctor."

The amusement disappears from his eyes upon hearing this, and I see the way his jaw hardens...just as something that looks it can reach thirteen inches long starts to rise from under his towel.
