I bit my lip, and when his eyes dipped down over me, I blushed furiously. I knew he could see all of me. I knew even as I squirmed and tried to squeeze my legs together or tuck them up under, that he could see my bare ass, and my pussy. I’d never been so exposed to a man before, and that plus the fact that I was still handcuffed like that had something wicked tingling through me.
“Please unlock the cuffs, daddy?”
The words whispered from my lips as the heat bloomed over my face. Cormac smiled.
“Good girl.”
I blushed again. What the hell was wrong with me?
He moved to the head of the bed, his big hands covering mine softly as he unlocked the handcuffs and took them off of me. He gently helped me up, this tenderness about him that felt like a warm blanket as he got me sitting on the edge of the bed. I smoothed my skirt down and fixed my tank top, like that would somehow make me more presentable even if my hair was a total mess.
“We need to get you new clothes.”
“What’s wrong with my clothes?”
“They make you look like a cheap slut.”
My jaw dropped, and I scowled, glaring at him, even though I knew he was a little right. I mean, why the hell was I mad? They weren’t even my clothes, they were Carrie’s. But I still glared at him until I saw his look soften and a smile spread over his face. His hand reached out, and when he gently pushed a lock of hair behind my ears and let his fingers stroke along my jaw, I bit my lip as the heat washed over me.
“And you’re better than that,” he purred softly, looking me right in the eye. “Come.”
He turned for the door, gesturing with his head for me to follow. I hesitated for a second before I slowly stood and followed him into the main room.
“How do you take your coffee?”
The cabin was beautiful, and through the windows, I could see the gorgeous still waters of the lake just a few feet from the back door.
“Just a little cream, please.”
He nodded, filling my mug before handing it to me.
“Sit.”
He nodded at the breakfast table, and when I did, he pulled the metal lid off a plate piled high with eggs, pancakes, and bacon. My stomach growled as I stared in disbelief.
“You made all this?”
“There’s no twenty-four-hour diners up here.”
I remembered that we weren’t just out in the woods, we were way out in the woods. Near a mountain. Something thorn. Blackthorn maybe.
“And where’s ‘up here,’ again?”
“Where you’ll be safe,” he growled softly, sipping a mug of his own. “Eat, princess.”
My stomach gurgled loudly as I did just that, hungrily wolfing down the food.
“The man looking for you…”
My eyes darted to his, fear creeping over me. But Cormac shook his head. His hand slid across the table and covered mine, and instantly, I felt a sort of warmth and protectiveness surround me.
“He won’t find you here,” Cormac growled. “I can promise you that.”
We sat in silence as I finished my breakfast. When I was done, he took the plate from me and cleaned it in the sink as I finished my coffee. When he was done, he sighed and turned back, his eyes sliding over me.
“Take them off.”
I blinked. “Excuse me?” I knew he was talking about my clothes, but he couldn’t be serious, could he?
“Take. Them. Off. Your clothes, princess.”
“What, right here?”
“They’re filthy, and we need to get you cleaned up. So, yes. Here.”
I pursed my lips, even if there was something sinfully hot about that dark, dominant way he commanded me. “I will not.”
“I can do it for you,” he grumbled.
“You wouldn’t dare dream of it.”
Cormac smiles. “Trust me, I’ve dreamed of it.”
I blushed furiously.
“Last chance, Nina. You or me? Who’s taking them, off.”
I wanted to say “you” and “please take them off” but God, again, there must’ve been something wrong with me. He was so dark and handsome and rough, but protective. So dominant and so tender at the same time. And something about all of that was making me insane.
But I did feel safe where I was with him. I felt protected and taken care of. And I knew if he wanted to hurt me, he would have already. And with that, and maybe my lingering insanity from the night before, I slowly nodded.
“Okay.”
Slowly, I peeled my clothes off, my pulse racing in my ears and my skin feeling like it was on fire. The tank top went first, and I turned away from him as I dropped my skirt, covering myself with both hands as I shyly turned back.
“Uh-uh, babygirl,” Cormac said quietly, his deep, velvety voice so warm and kind as he moved towards me. “No hiding yourself from daddy,” he purred, moving right in front of me. I gasped quietly, the heat from his huge body radiating over my bare skin, making my head spin.
