“What do you think, Cuddle Bug?”
She sighed, letting her shoulders drop. “I don’t need a nap.”
“Do you need another spanking?”
“No, Sir.” She shook her head.
“Then let’s get you tucked in. One hour. Then you can go back to work.” He reached out a hand toward her.
Celeste let him take her hand and followed him down the hallway. He opened a door, and they disappeared into what Zara assumed was one of the apartments.
She looked toward Kestrel. “I have so many questions, but why is there a black cat on their door?”
He grinned and nodded in that direction. “Come.” He pointed at another door as she followed him. “Sadie and Rocco have a penguin. Celeste likes cats, so she and Hawking have a black cat. We’ll have to pick an animal for our door. Do you have a favorite animal? Maybe the swan?”
She shook her head. “I’ve never thought about swans before. But…” She pursed her lips, hesitating to tell him about Coco.
He lifted a brow. “Do you have a stuffed animal, Little Swan?”
She slowly reached her hand into her satchel, felt along the edge of her computer, and gently removed her most prized possession.
Kestrel reached out to pat him on the head. “Who do we have here?”
“This is Coco, my monkey,” she admitted. Never in her wildest dreams had she ever imagined introducing someone to Coco, and certainly not a prospective boyfriend.
Kestrel tickled Coco under the chin before he opened the door they stood next to.
Zara followed him into the apartment, surprised to discover its spaciousness. The living room and kitchen were one great room. There was a short hallway with a few doors off it.
“What do you think?” he asked as he set her suitcases down and flipped on the overhead lights to brighten the room beyond the sunlight through tall windows. “I’ll admit I’ve been busy since arriving here. I haven’t done much to make this place a home. You can help me.”
She ignored him. Mainly because it still seemed unimaginable to her that she might really stay with him. She’d love to sleep soundly, so she was willing to take him up on his offer of protection, but beyond that? She kept waffling. It was too soon, wasn’t it?
“I don’t cook much. None of us do. The resort’s chefs are amazing. We all eat dinner together each night, usually in the basement. We order most of our other meals from the kitchen or grab something on the run.”
Zara turned toward him. “Did Hawking really spank Celeste?”
“I’m sure he did. She works too hard, a lot like someone else I know. She would stay in her lab downstairs twenty hours a day if he didn’t put his foot down.”
“But she’s…”
“Little, Zara. She’s Little. She likes having a Daddy guide her and help her make good choices. I can assure you she feels much better after having her bottom spanked. She probably intentionally yelled at Magnus to earn a spanking.”
Zara gasped. “Why would she do that?”
He rounded to sit on the sofa and pulled her between his legs, his hands on her hips. He was tall but still had to tip his head back to look at her. “It’s cathartic. Lots of people who enjoy age play misbehave when they need the release they get from a spanking.”
She swallowed hard. Her mouth was dry again. She couldn’t stand still either. Suddenly, all she could think about was Kestrel guiding her to one side of his lap, laying her across his knees, and spanking her. A rush of arousal consumed her and made her already wet panties even wetter.
She jerked her gaze to the side, afraid he could read her face. “Do you want to do that to me?” she whispered.
“Not today, Little Swan, but I’m sure you’ll need a good spanking soon.” He slid his hands around a few inches and patted her bottom. “You can let me know when your curiosity gets the better of you and ask me to spank you.”
She gasped. “Ask you?”
“Yep.”
She squirmed. Had he lost his mind?
He set her back a few inches, stood, and took her hand. “Let me show you the rest of the apartment.”
All the doors were ajar, and he pushed the first one open. “Master bedroom. Again, I haven’t decorated much. It’s pretty boring.”
She looked around. It was boring. Grays and blacks. No color.
The next door led to a large bathroom. “The bathroom is connected to the bedroom. There’s only one in each apartment.”
Across the hallway, he opened the last door. “Playroom.” He released her and guided her inside with a hand on the small of her back.
The room was furnished but not much else. “Kingsley provided all the playrooms with the basics: desks, daybeds, dressers, bookshelves… But it will be up to you to fix it up the way you want it.”
