He clicks his tongue and shakes his head, taking me in from head to toe.

“You take my fucking breath away.”

He kisses me then, hard and long, his hand on my throat as his mouth makes love to mine. Instinctively, I move my arms to touch him, but all I manage is to pull against the restraints.

He grins down at me. “You’re stuck.”

“I want to touch you.”

“Give me just a little time,” he says and presses gentle kisses to my cheek, my neck, my chest. “But if it’s too much, at any point, just say so, and you’ll be free. I promise.”

His gaze latches to mine with that vow, and I nod in agreement.

Hell, I’d do anything for this man.

“Just enjoy,” he suggests as he nibbles around my navel, sending fresh goose bumps over my body. “Because I’m sure as hell enjoying you.”

I let my eyes slide closed, and for what feels like forever, Wolfe takes his time, kissing and licking, touching and tasting his way over my body. It’s as if he has all the time in the world, and I’m his only focus.

Feeling like I’m the center of his universe is like a drug.

He licks the inside of my thigh, and I sigh.

He kisses behind my knee, and I moan.

And when he brushes his fingers up and then pushes them into my core, he growls in satisfaction. I can’t help but arch my back and move my hips.

“Goddamn, you’re always ready for me,” he mutters. I open my eyes and find him stripping off his clothes as if he can’t get out of them fast enough. Finally free of anything separating us, he plants his hands on my ass and lifts me to meet his mouth. And then he freaking feasts on me.

I don’t just fall over the edge into bliss. I fucking explode. There’s no sweet buildup; there’s only fire.

I feel Wolfe tug on the restraints.

“Touch me,” he says with a rough voice. I open my eyes again to find him covering my body with his, his eyes hot with lust and need, and his jaw clenched as he positions himself between my legs and slides right inside of me. “Ah, damn.”

“Yes.” I loop my arms around his neck, pulling him closer. “God, I love feeling your weight on me. I love feeling you on me. Inside me.”

He’s everywhere, and yet it’s as though he’s not close enough.

I grab his ass, bringing him closer, and with his eyes on mine, he sets a delicious pace that has us both gasping for air. When I can’t hold back any longer and contract around him, he follows me into oblivion.

Later, after we’ve had more pizza and wine and are curled up by the fireplace, Wolfe kisses my head.

“You’re everything I didn’t know I was missing,” he whispers.

“I’m glad you found me,” I reply and smile when he simply kisses me once more. And in that exact moment, I know without a shadow of a doubt that I’m irrevocably in love with this man.

“You were a little vague in your text when you invited us over here,” June says as she leads me into Sarah’s apartment. The enticing smell of tacos immediately hits, and I grin.

“Did you cook?”

“I’m good at it,” Sarah confirms with a smile. She’s wearing a white apron covered in little red cherries, her blond hair is up in a haphazard ponytail, and her cheeks are flushed from the heat of the stove. “Come in, you guys. I made tacos and homemade pico and guacamole to go with the chips. I also have copious amounts of tequila.”

“This is my kind of party,” I say as I set my purse on a table by the door and cross to the countertop that separates the kitchen from the living room. “What’s the occasion?”

“Divorce.” Sarah smiles brightly as she reaches for a manila envelope and holds it high. “The papers arrived this afternoon. All I have to do is sign them, and then I’m free. I can get on with my life.”

“Wow.” June stares at the envelope and then at Sarah. “Should you have an attorney look those over? Anthony might be trying to pull something over on you.”

“I already did,” Sarah assures her. “There wasn’t much to surprise me with since I signed the prenup all those years ago. I get squat. But you know what? I don’t want anything from him. I’m doing just fine on my own.”

“Honey, you’re doing better than fine,” I remind her and reach for a chip. “You’re kicking ass.”

“Thanks. I think so, too. And I have my two best friends here with me to celebrate.”

“We’re having a divorce party,” June says with a grin. “I like it.”

“Meow.”

We look down at a cat, who just came walking around the corner. It’s a big tabby with bi-colored eyes and half of an ear on one side. Its whiskers are crinkled in spots, making it look as if it went four rounds with the champ.
