“Bailey.” A deep throaty groan, a swivel of his hips, a deep push of his thumb, and I’m coming with Forest surrounding me completely. He doesn’t stop moving his hips, not even when I feel the jet of cum filling the condom. His hands are everywhere, touching, squeezing, holding, and I’m a boneless heap.

“You’re going to have to carry me to the shower,” I mutter, my face no longer stuffed into the pillow.

“I think we both know I’ve got no problem carrying you, baby.” He pulls out of me, my center squeezing him, not really wanting to lose him. “I’d stay inside you forever.”

“I’d let you stay inside me forever.” He is off the bed, standing at the side, and I’m scrambling to get back in his arms, not ready to be through for the night.

“Baby.” His eyes close, like I just gave him a gift.

“Shower?” I mention again. My arms wrap around his neck, and Forest lifts me up by the back of my legs until my thighs are around his hips, and he’s carrying me exactly like he said he would.

Bailey

Three Weeks Later

Forest and I have become quite the little sneaks when it comes to me staying the night in his bed. Staying quiet is impossible, too; it’s the reason why a pillow is always near. And the girls, oh, how I’ve fallen completely in love with them. Those two are the only ones who haven’t caught on. Forest’s parents, his brother and sister-in-law, my parents and brothers know. I mean, my family don’t exactly know how we met, and they never will either. Jesus, those men would blow a gasket. Plus, I don’t want them to hate Forest. Nope, I want them to love him because I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one in our relationship who’s falling in love, Forest’s daughters included.

It’s funny, too, the look Madden gave Forest when he asked if he replaced the mattress in the guest room yet. Forest replied, “Nope," the old one is at the landfill, where it belongs, and that there were no plans to replace it. I was privy to that conversation. Thankfully, I held on to my laughter. Madden, on the other hand, just hummed his answer, a grin overcame his face, and then he walked away.

Now it’s me and the girls, settled into this routine where Forest or myself get the girls ready for school, switching off on who’s taking and picking them up. If he has to go out of town, it’s usually only for a night or two, a week at most. Last weekend was that time. The thought of falling asleep without him sucked. The girls had a trick up their sleeves, one I didn’t see coming. Cammy and Piper conspired to have a slumber party of sorts after eating our weight in pizza and ice cream, the girls taking a bath, and while they were getting their pajamas on, I was walking around the house shutting everything down. I came upstairs and checked their rooms, knowing sometimes they’ll get in one another’s bed to read a book, talk, or even to prolong the bedtime stage by playing together. The last room was Forest’s, which was where I found the girls, snuggled on his side of the bed, Cammy with the remote in her hand, Piper hugging the family iPad. When I asked her why she was holding it close to her chest, she said, “Daddy call me.” Melt my heart with those three little words. Her vocabulary is getting stronger by the day, words are coming out clear, and while Piper’s personality has always been full of giggles and laughter, she’s forming opinions on certain things, especially food, like broccoli for instance. Where Piper used to eat it without a problem, she’s now adamantly refusing it, and if Madden and Hendrix are here with their dogs, well, let’s just say both their dogs, Jolene and Cooper, leave with a fuller belly than they came with. The girls shanghaied the bed. It made me laugh, then I veered into the master bathroom, grabbing my pajamas on the way, got ready for bed, and then slid in on what is now my side of the bed. Forest assured me the whole house was pretty much redone after Krissy was slapped with a protective order. He didn’t want any memories of the two of them. The only thing he did make sure of was that the girls were able to make a choice if they wanted to keep something of their mother’s. How Forest has maintained his calmness in the Krissy department is beyond me, because the stories alone that he’s told has made me damn near violent with rage on the inside.

Now Forest is home for the week and at the office for the day. I’m cleaning up the house, getting a lunch box packed for Piper. It’s an early release day for Cammy. Since the time difference is an hour apart from the girls’ school letting out, Piper and I are going to hang out at the playground, have a bite to eat, then grab Cammy.
