His little head is poking out of Brianna’s pussy. He’s all squishy and covered in gunk, but it’s the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen. That’s my child, my whole fucking heart right there between my future wife’s legs, and I realize without a fucking doubt that I would walk through the darkest pits of hell for this sweet, innocent baby. Hell, I’d give my life for theirs.

I’ve never seen anything so precious in my life. “Babe,” I whisper, meeting Bri’s exhausted gaze over her protruding bump, my eyes stinging with tears. “He’s beautiful.”

“Of course, he is,” she says, the most breathtaking smile spreading across her face.

The doctor goes about checking that the cord isn’t wrapped around the baby’s neck, and as I step back into Brianna’s side and collect her hand in mine, I drop a lingering kiss to her warm lips, tasting her spilled tears. “You are the most incredible woman I’ve ever met,” I tell her.

Brianna smiles up at me as Dr. Thompson tells her it’s time to push the rest of him out. As the contraction comes on, Bri pushes, and before we know it, our child is placed on Brianna’s chest, his soft cries filling the delivery room. “Congratulations,” Dr. Thompson beams. “You were right. It’s a boy.”

Tears stream down Brianna’s face as she cradles our son in her arms, and I press a kiss to her forehead, looking down at the beautiful creature we’ve created. Nurses shuffle in with blankets and begin wiping him down, but she doesn’t dare hand him over.

“Welcome to the world, my little man,” Brianna soothes before glancing up at me, her eyes so filled with love, making me truly understand the extent of my mistake in ever telling her I didn’t want this, because now that he’s here and in her arms, I could never go back or deny the unconditional love I have for this sweet little boy. “You were right. It was worth every bit of the pain.”

“I always knew it would be,” I tell her, brushing my fingers over her forehead and pushing her hair back, knowing we’re only halfway through.

“Do they have names yet?” Gigi asks as she admires our son.

“Yeah,” Brianna smiles before glancing up at Dr. Thompson. “Do you know if this was the baby on the left or right side?”

“I believe this little handsome guy was the one jammed under your ribs on the left,” Dr. Thompson says, a fond smile on her face as she starts checking over Bri and preparing her for baby number two.

Bri smiles the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen. “Then this little man is Nate,” she says.

“I love it,” Gigi says. “What about baby number two?”

“Parker,” Bri says.

“Perfect,” I whisper.

“Okay, Brianna,” the doctor says. “Can we hand little Nate off to Gigi? It’s time to meet Parker now.”

Unable to really move, Gigi comes forward and scoops Nate off her chest and takes him over to the crib where a nurse goes about cleaning him off properly and getting a diaper and onesie onto his cold little body.

Brianna squeezes my hand, and I realize that it’s time. The contraction is coming on and along with that comes the pushing. I can’t even begin to understand the amount of pain Bri must be in, and the fact she’s had to do it twice goes to show just how fucking incredible she is.

All I know is that I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to her.

Bri pushes with everything she’s got, squeezing my hand, and just like Nate, Parker is safely delivered into the world. When he’s on Brianna’s chest, the tears instantly start again, overwhelming joy taking grip of both of us and refusing to release us, but I never want it to. I could live in this bliss for the rest of my life.

Parker is whisked off and cleaned up by the nurses, and I watch as little tags are placed around their ankles so we can tell them apart. I find myself constantly hovering over them, making sure they’re safe as the nurses rush around the room cleaning up after one hell of a messy delivery.

Once Brianna has properly caught her breath, I help rid her of her bloody gown and she somehow finds the strength to put herself through a quick shower before coming back, feeling refreshed.

Brianna lays down in the clean bed and indicates for me to bring our babies over, and I do just that, more than happy to sit here with them for the rest of our days.

Gigi comes in and tells us it’s time to feed, which is a whole new experience, and I gape at our sons the whole time, not understanding how they can so easily know exactly what to do. But what can I say? My sons are geniuses. I passed on only the best genes.
