Giggling, I hid against his chest as I laughed. “Owner.”

He was so ridiculous.

Straightening, I gave him my best professional doll expression. “Tell me about the photographer.”

I needed to know how me I could be.

“I can be very boring if I need to.” I could be vanilla and macho if it came down to it.

Hmm, well not in this outfit, the heels didn’t say butch under any definition, but I could tone down my personality at least.

Owner frowned, giving my ass a pop. “I don’t want to hear that. There’s nothing I need my doll to change.”

Hmm.

“Yes, Owner.” That got me another kiss, this time deeper as he stroked his hand over my ass.

As he straightened, he gave me another peck before kissing my nose again. “Now, as for Mika, he’s very good at his job, and he won’t get uncomfortable no matter what we do. He’s very nice.”

Mika.

That was it, but I wasn’t sure the rest was enough information at all.

“Yes, Owner.” We’d have to see, but I trusted Owner, so I was going to be very good and pretend to accept that for the time being.

He sighed.

“Come on, pretty one.” He stepped back, taking my hand. “Let’s go introduce you to Mika.”

Yes, rip the bandage off.

“Yes, Sir.” Looking happy but not too perky, I felt a bit more confident since he was still holding my hand, but after the harpy, I wasn’t sure Owner knew how his people would react to me.

But we got smiles from the people we ran into and Owner introduced me as the model who would be showing off his creations…all while holding my hand.

No one else seemed to mind, but I had to admit I was still nervous as we got back to the smaller rooms where the finished corsets were kept.

Mika was there.

I knew it was him because he was holding the camera as he frowned at the clothes.

It seemed to be a universal expression for photographers.

“How is everything going?” Owner’s bright expression and professional question had Mika nodding distractedly.

“Good. I like how the wings on that fairy one turned out.” Mika gestured absentmindedly to a corset at the back of the room that was shimmery like the inside of the seashell that changed colors. It was beautiful, but the most amazing part was the wide, sheer wings that came out from the back. “We’re going to have to be careful with the lights, though.”

I was going to be a fairy.

Gushing would not be appropriate behavior, so I nodded and waited, doing my best to look like a very professional model.

“It had to sparkle.” Owner shrugged, looking like there was nothing he could’ve done about it.

Creative people were so fascinating.

Mika rolled his eyes, looking like he didn’t believe Owner was as blameless as he claimed to be. “It had to. Of course.”

Owner seemed like he was going to shrug again, but then turned to me and winked. “My model will look wonderful in it, though.”

Oh yes, I would.

The model comment had Mika finally realizing I was in the room and turned to us, looking slightly distracted and very…something. Most people had a strong reaction when they saw me for the first time, but even though I was looking very professional in my cute pants suit, he barely blinked.

Mika nodded as he studied me for a moment. “Yes, he will.”

Well, at least he hadn’t stumbled over pronouns?

Instead of reacting at all, he went right back to work. “Should we start with the fairy one, then?”

Since it wasn’t my call, I looked up at Owner. He was glancing between the two of us before shaking his head. “No, let’s do that last. I have some ideas for that one.”

Hmm, ideas for attractive model Emerson or ideas for his sexy doll?

I was fervently hoping that it would be the second option…and after Mika had left the room. He seemed polite, but I wasn’t sure there was enough chemistry between us, even the professional kind, for him to watch Owner make me his sexy fairy princess.

I knew everyone at Leashes & Lace would love to see me like that, but something about Mika did not give off that feeling.

How straight was he?

He didn’t even give off the faintest beep of gaydar like a straight guy who’d just been curious in college would.

I was so cute everyone should want to see me dressed up as a fairy…just for the irony at the very least. Hell, I was pretty sure even that woman who’d screamed at me in Walmart last month could be talked into it.

She’d find it very ironic too.

But Mika…

“How about we grab something to drink and talk out the shoot?” Owner seemed to realize our chemistry needed some work, or maybe he was just in need of a caffeine boost, but either way, it was a wonderful plan.
