I chuckle, drawing both of their attention. “Daddy, do it.”

I grin and push off the door. “Only if your mommy helps.”

“Come on, the sooner we get him to sleep, the sooner we can have some adult time.” She wiggles her brows at me.

“Say less,” I say as I walk up behind her and dip to peck her lips.

I get down beside her and reach for AJ’s shampoo. Lex watches me with a smile on her face. I get AJ’s hair soaped up and he groans and moans as I massage his little head.

“Ah, I see why he wanted Daddy to do it. I’m not mad at you at all, AJ. That looks nice.”

“I’ll get him in his pajamas. You run the water for our bath. I’ll wash your hair and give you a massage.”

“Don’t talk dirty to me, babe. You might end up with another one.”

I stare heatedly into her eyes. She has to be kidding me if she thinks I don’t want another. Joke around with me, and she’ll be pregnant before the end of the night.

She tilts her head to the side. “You still want more kids, right?”

I grasp the back of her neck with my soapy hand and tug her in for a heated kiss. She pulls back to look up at me dreamily and bites her lip.

“I guess that means yes.”

“Do you have a pulse between your legs right now?”

“Boy, if you don’t shut up,” she laughs.

“Yeah, I want at least two more.”

She runs her eyes over me. A lazy smile comes to my lips. I only turn away because AJ starts to tug at my hand.

“Come on, scratch,” he demands.

“You know, the more demanding you become, the better your speech gets,” I tease.

“Oh, babe. This kid can talk when he wants to.”

I give her a smile. “You’re doing great with him. You’re a great mom.”

She ducks her head. “Thanks.”

I place my fingers under her chin and lift her head to peck her lips. “No, thank you.”

I release her and rinse the soap out of AJ’s hair. He’s fast asleep before I can get him in his pajamas. I kiss his forehead and head back into the bathroom for my wife.

I sit soaking in the tub when Ant returns. My eyes are locked on him as he strips out of his clothes. The man is a work of art.

Watching him now as he stands before me in all his naked glory makes my mouth water. Although I wished for this day, I never thought it would happen. I’m all giddy inside as he moves to come climb in with me.

“Hold on,” I say before he can lower into the water.

I lift to sit on the edge of the tub and reach to palm his length. He groans and palms the back of my head as I take him in deep. Looking up through my lashes, I find him with his head thrown back.

I love seeing him like this. I’m reminded of how we fell in love and all the things I’ve only ever done with and for him. I was so inexperienced when we first hooked up.

My ex would try to take things to the next level, but I always backed out for one reason or another. In the end, I knew it was because it never felt right. With Anthony, I never had any questions.

“Lex, baby, that feels so good,” he moans.

I purr happily around him and work him with my palms the way I know he likes. When I take his balls into my mouth, he growls and his thigh flexes under the palm I’m now using for support.

“You like that, babe?”

“Put it back in your mouth, you’re about to find out.”

I smile and take him back in. His hot seed shoots down the back of my throat, rewarding me for a job well done. I run my nails up the backs of his thighs and over his tight ass.

“I’ve missed you,” he murmurs. “Come here, I want to make you come.”

Chapter 40

Father & Son Date

Alexis

Three weeks later…

I hang up my call and blow out a breath. I knew I’d have to deal with this sooner or later. I just wasn’t ready to today.

We’ve been at this cabin for three weeks. My life in New York wants answers. The labels want to know why they can’t book me.

If they don’t get a response, I could be out in the blink of an eye. They’ll find someone else, no matter how great I am at what I do. It’s the way things are. Now I need to figure out if I even care.

“What’s up?” Ant asks as he walks out on the deck with AJ in his arms.

“They’re pissed I left. I have some clients who want me to write for them,” I reply.
