An SUV...by Lamborghini!
I know, right?
His Lambo SUV is a combination of functionality and sexiness, wealth and power...just like its owner. Honestly, I didn't even know something like it existed, but his choice makes perfect sense the moment I see it cruising into view.
Adam steps out of his SUV, and just about every woman in the lobby stops what they're doing to stare. I kinda feel sorry that he's required to ditch his white coat, but since Adam in a tux is also a drop-dead gorgeous sight, I still end up struggling to keep my reactions in check.
Do. Not. Drool.
Adam and I went on a beach date just last week, and the sight of him in board shorts actually had a woman gaping so hard at him she didn't even seem to realize she had saliva dripping down the corner of her mouth.
It might've been an amusing sight for some, but it was terrifying for me since I find my beautiful doctor totally droolworthy as well. If it can happen to her, it can happen to me, too, you know?
Adam finally reaches my side, and my heart skips a beat at the way he gently brushes his lips over mine in greeting.
"I'm sorry I'm late, little thorn."
His endearment is still quite the mind fuck. I really don't get why he'd think calling me a thorn is some kind of compliment, but whatever. It sounds like one anyway, and it's all thanks to his accent, which I now know is a mixture of French and Huznan (another mystery solved, yeah boy).
Even though we've been going out for a couple of months now, I still can't get enough of his accent, and just hearing him speak has me smiling up at him rather dreamily. "It's fine."
Since I haven't seen him for a week, absence has definitely made the heart grow fonder, and just looking at him makes my heart pound like crazy...even as I'm tempted to pinch myself to make sure this is all real.
Now that I know who my Dr. Somebody is in real life, it's become harder to believe that a man like him has fallen in love with me. Not only is Adam one of the world's most successful and hottest surgeons ever, but he's also a sheikh who's directly related to the royal family of Huzna. He can have anyone in the world, and yet—-
Adam slowly pulls me close, and butterflies flutter away in my stomach.
"I missed you."
My heart just melts at the words. "Thank you."
Adam raises a brow. "And?"
I can't help fidgeting under his gaze. Saying 'I miss you, too' would've been easy for my alter ego, but real-life Leah, though?
"Me, too?"
Green eyes gleam down at me in amusement. "You're being adorable again."
Uh-oh.
I try to step back, but his arm only tightens around my waist. Every time he says I'm 'adorable', that usually means—-
Oh, shit.
Adam kisses me hard in full view of everyone, and it only takes a few strokes of his tongue to demolish my resistance, and I end up kissing him back as my arms curl around his neck.
Oh God, he kisses so, so good!
I feel rather dazed when the kiss finally ends, but I regain my senses quickly enough when I spot Nik and Daria in the lobby, and the look on their faces tells me they've seen Adam and me kissing.
Daria waves her phone at me. I'll upload it on Tiktok, she mouths.
Nik, on the other hand, looks like he's about to strangle Adam. My big brother from another mother still isn't completely sold on Adam being my boyfriend, but that's really just the billionaire being overprotective like usual.
I try pulling away from Adam when the couple starts walking towards us. "Could you let me go for a moment?"
"Never."
I make a face at him even though I'm secretly thrilled to hear him say it.
Nik and Daria finally reach us, and I immediately stop trying to squirm out of Adam's hold.
"Three hours late for a party?" Nik doesn't hesitate drawing first blood. "That must be some record."
"But it's totally fine with me," I say quickly, "since I understand the importance of Adam's job."
Adam squeezes my waist. "You don't have to jump to my defense all the time, little thorn." He turns to Nik, saying gravely, "I know how lucky I am to have someone as understanding as Leah by my side. I intend to devote my life pleasuring her—-"
Nik stiffens and Daria chokes back a laugh while I feel like my heart has just dropped to my stomach.
"Apologies for the Freudian slip," Adam drawls.
My gaze flies up to him in horror. Are you insane? Why do you keep trying to pick a fight with Nik?
"No apology needed," the billionaire says silkily. "Girls Leah's age are known to be fickle—-"

"And have I told you that she once mentioned guys over thirty are—-"
