"Brantley," I whisper, turning my head to look at him as my heart flutters. "I feel the same way about you. You're home to me. Everything is less terrifying in your arms."
He smiles sweetly, curling his arm around me. His hand splays across my belly. "And you're freedom to me, little bird. The whole goddamn world feels like it's conquerable when I'm holding you."
I melt against him, my eyes drifting close. "That's because it is, Brant. For you, it is."
"Yeah," he breathes, brushing his lips against the side of my throat. "I know. You gave me that."
"I love you."
"Good." His lips curve into a smile against my skin. "Because she's probably going to end up in our bed again tomorrow night. You know I can't tell her no."
I laugh quietly, shaking my head. "You better learn, Brantley Hill. Your pregnant wife needs orgasms."
"Shit," he groans. "I'll carry her back to her room."
"No." I tight my arm around her. "Let her stay tonight. You can give me orgasms tomorrow."
"How many are we talking? Five? Six?"
"All of them."
"Deal. She's sleeping in her bed tomorrow, and you're getting all the orgasms."
I smile, my eyes drifting closed. I already know we'll be having shower sex in the morning. And sex in the kitchen before she gets home from daycare. Because there's no way he's telling her no tomorrow night. So long as our baby girl needs him, he'll be there. And so will I.
