“Doubled down?”

“You thought the tickets to Paris, the ponies and the doctor bills were too much. You thought the house was too much. I know you think this is too much too, but don’t be upset. I needed to do something to get your attention.”

Seamus slid a hand in Bellamy’s hair. “The one thing you’ve always had is my attention.”

He leaned into the touch. “This is who I am, Seamus Finn. Pushy. Rich. Impulsive. And you love me anyway. Also, I think this should be our wedding song. You do always call me crazy.”

“That’s because you are.” Seamus dropped his hand and frowned at him. “Did you say wedding song?”

Bellamy changed the subject. “What do you think of it? The party? Thor thought this was a great time to see how your beer could go over with the masses. Did you know he has six siblings? Four boys and three girls and they’re all named after authors because their dad is an English Lit professor. He’s got a good head for business.”

Seamus grabbed Bellamy by his shirt and growled. “Bell?”

He was refusing to look him in the eye. “Oh, and I rented those ponies again. Solomon took Noah’s baby, Zachary, home and now he’s on Penny duty, so you don’t need to worry about her.”

“Are you trying to pick a fight with me?”

“Usually,” Bellamy said, his green eyes full of fire. “We both know I do that a lot. You’re stubborn and classist, I’m rich and the puppy loves me best…”

Seamus raised an eyebrow. “I’m not classist.”

“Good. Because once we’re married, my money is your money and your kids are my kids. And I’m going to want my kids to live in our big house and come with us when we travel. And they need to learn French. That was Elle’s one request for her grandchildren.”

His blood was rushing in his ears and he felt lightheaded. “I’m not marrying you, Bellamy Demir.”

“Is it the song?” Bellamy tried to joke but Seamus could see the vulnerability and hurt in his eyes.

“I’m not marrying you until you tell me why.” Seamus needed to hear it. This was surreal and mad and very Bellamy. There were a million reasons why this couldn’t be happening. Why it wouldn’t work even if it was. But the only reason he was hesitating was because he didn’t understand why the beautiful lunatic wanted him.

Bellamy took his hand and dragged him back through the parking lot and into the quiet bar. It was empty now, thank God.

He closed the door behind him and pressed Seamus against it. “I knew the first time I saw you.”

“That was sex,” Seamus said breathlessly. “You don’t have to marry me to get that, Bellamy. You can have it right now.”

Bellamy shushed him and nuzzled his cheek. “Of course it was sex. I’ll never get enough of you, or knowing that I’m the only one who can make you go wild. But it was more.” He kissed his neck, his chin and the corner of his mouth, as if he couldn’t help himself. “I wasn’t supposed to be in Ireland at all. I have an assistant who handles all our fundraisers, but I got a personal request to come to the hotel for a few days and go over plans face to face. I’ve known the owner for years, so I agreed. On my second night in town, I saw you.”

Seamus slipped his hands under Bellamy’s shirt, needing to touch him when he thought about how easily they could have missed each other. “I’m glad you were there.”

Bellamy chuckled and the sound went straight to his dick. “So was I. You were at the front desk looking jet-lagged and frazzled and completely out of place. And you had no idea that the woman checking you in was flirting with you. Completely oblivious. I think you even took out a picture of your kids to show her along with your driver’s license.”

“No wonder you couldn’t resist me,” Seamus joked, moaning when Bellamy’s hips rocked against his.

“Exactly. Something in me knew, even then, that I couldn’t let you out of my sight. I followed you to Murphy’s bar, found out everything I could about you and, when I saw you with Gillian, I finally worked out a way to get your attention. She had a good business plan, but that wasn’t why I was there. That was never why. It was all about you. I knew you were mine, Seamus Finn. Even then, I knew. And I was willing to do whatever I had to do to help you see it. See me.”

“Oh God, Bell.” Seamus felt himself sliding down the door, but Bellamy was there, holding him up in his strong embrace.

“I’ve always been impatient. Looking for something new. Something exciting. As soon as I kissed you, I knew I could stop looking. You are it for me. You, Jake, Little Sean and the twins. Now all I want to do is take care of your family with you and cherish and protect them as if they were my own.” He took a shuddering breath and pressed closer. “I told you I didn’t want you to take care of me. But I need you to let me do all of this because I’m in love with you, and being without you is unacceptable.”
