“Someone likes it rough?” I ask, my brow lifted in question.

Gripping his shoulders, I roughly twist his body around as though he’s resisting arrest. I snag one of his wrists and plant his hand on the wall above his head before doing the same for the other hand. I rub my dick along his crack, pressing gentle kisses on his shoulder blade.

“I have dreams about your body,” I admit. “Not dreams where we fuck. Just dreams where I spend hours admiring it. You’re beautiful, Dante. It’s hard to look away sometimes.”

His body trembles as I slide my palms down his ribs. He hisses when I pinch both of his nipples. I twist them back and forth, loving how he squirms, before finally giving him relief.

My dick is leaking with pre-cum. I need to be inside Dante. I’m overwhelmed by this urgency to connect with him so he can feel all the emotions stirring up inside me. To see if maybe he feels the same. Quickly, I slide on a rubber and coat my dick with lube. With the excess, I massage his hole, smiling when I’m easily granted access inside his hot body.

“Jax,” he chokes out, pressing against the two fingers buried inside him.

“Hmm?” I stroke him just the way I know he loves.

“I have to tell you something.”

I slip out my fingers, replacing them with the tip of my dick. His warmth sucks me in greedily, stretching easily to accommodate my girth. We both grunt the moment I bottom out, deep inside of him. He turns his head, as though he wants a kiss. With my slick hand wrapped around his dick and my hips bucking into him slowly, I meet his lips with mine. Our kiss, at the awkward angle, is messy, but it heats my blood to inhuman degrees. I moan against his lips, speeding up the thrusts and stroking his dick to match the speed.

“I have dreams about you too,” he murmurs against my mouth.

I wait for him to elaborate. He doesn’t.

Conversation gets forgotten as I fuck Dante like it might be our last time. The thought of never getting to be with him again is a sobering wakeup call.

Truth smacks me in the face.

I like Dante.

Really, really like him.

I can taste the beginnings of something that could potentially be sweet after the sourness that’s been my life.

All I have to do is take a bite.

Swallow.

Accept.

Dante groans, signifying his orgasm, which sets me off. My teeth sink into his shoulder as I grind against him, dizzy with pleasure as I release into him.

If only everything else were as simple as it is when he and I make love.

If only.

I’ve already taken the bite…the rest is a little difficult.

Dante

Three Weeks Later…

“…official Chamber business.”

I glance up from my phone where I was texting with Hans about a claw-foot bathtub to meet Jax’s heated stare. Of course he’d fuck with me in the middle of our second Chamber meeting of the year, knowing good and well those words would get me hard as hell.

Everyone else is oblivious to the fact that I’m burning hot for the sexy sheriff.

“Are we going to discuss the Rainbow Vigilante?” Ned asks like a broken record player.

“May as well be a part of the monthly agenda,” Jax mutters under his breath.

Ned sits up, clearing his throat and drawing everyone’s attention. “Nearly every building on Main Street has the mark of the devil.”

Martha Joy snorts out a laugh. “They’re rainbows, Ned, not 666.”

“You all know my religious beliefs,” he huffs. “Those rainbows are clearly supporting you know what.” He darts his gaze to me and then skims over Kian and Cato. “So, to me, it may as well be 666.”

I hate this fucking guy.

“Can you clarify what it’s supporting?” I blurt out, unable to bite my tongue. “Not all of us know what your religious beliefs are.”

Cato and Kian both choke back laughs.

“Homosexuality,” Ned spits out, glaring at me. “You people can sin all you want, but I don’t want it shoved in my face!”

“Enough,” Jax booms, his voice dripping with authority. “There is an open investigation going for the Rainbow Vigilante, but this isn’t the time nor place to discuss it. If you have concerns, you’re free to see me after the meeting or call Brie up at the station. As far as your beliefs, Ned, those need to be contained for the duration of our meeting as we have other things to discuss like the Lobster Crawl.”

Ned huffs and puffs, but backs off as Jax takes back control of the meeting.

“The Lobster Crawl will go much like it always does,” Jax explains, “but this year we have the honor of naming the pier. The city has allocated funds for the beautification of the pier and Boardwalk. A sign will be created with the new name along with a whole list of other exciting things we can look forward to. The unveiling will happen on the weekend of The Lobster Crawl. It’s our task of deciding on a name that will make everyone proud. Cato is going to pass out nomination slips. Once we have them, we’ll put them on the Chamber website and in the BFB Daily Herald for the citizens to vote on.”
