Together over two years and he still felt so much desire and raw need for the man, it awed him. They’d stayed in the big house because Wiley liked his office and being close to the other guys.
Baer had to admit he liked it, too. There might not be a lot of privacy; every now and then he and Wiley got a hotel so they could really work up a sweat without the threat of being teased or interrupted. Not that they didn’t do it there, as well. There were often sounds of lovemaking in the house with so many couples so close together.
Wiley pulled back with a gasp. “Holy shit, that’s good,” he breathed. “But you know what this means, don’t you?”
“Yeah, I’ve gotta go with you to the San Diego Comic Con.”
“That’s right. And you promised to cosplay.”
Baer rolled his eyes, not wanting to know what character Wiley would be dressing him up as. But he’d do it because he promised.
“I’ll put in for leave at my job.” He worked as an urban forestry field manager in Savannah. The pay wasn’t great, but money was something none of the Weavers ever had to worry about. It kept him busy and made Clay happy since he was dedicated to city forests.
He’d originally just tooled around the house, but boredom had him climbing walls, so he’d used his degree to get back out in the world. Now that the planet wasn’t in danger from the pestilents, he and Wiley had settled in and they were extremely happy.
He squeezed Wiley’s ass. “What say you and me disappear into the bedroom for a little while?”
Wiley kissed the corner of his lips. “I’d love that, but it’s our night to cook.”
“I swapped with Grey and Cort. We’re up this weekend now.”
They normally ordered in on the weekends, but Baer planned to grill pork chops and cabbage and have a real cookout next to the pool.
Ruby came bounding into the room and Wiley chuckled as Baer put him down to love on his dog. “She’s in a good mood because Queenie’s in hiding.”
The pendants allowed Baer and Wiley to continue communicating with animals, and they couldn’t be happier about it. It didn’t hurt that he could still shift as well. He would have hated to give up flying.
Ruby trotted off to see what food was being dropped in the kitchen, and Baer grabbed Wiley’s hand. “So, you and me? Bedroom?”
“I have to call my grandmother first and tell her about the Eisners.”
“Nope. Later.” Baer picked him up again, this time throwing Wiley over his shoulder. He felt up his ass as he strolled down the hallway to the room they shared. It was such a flawlessly round ass that filled his hand perfectly. He dropped him onto the bed and stretched out on top of him, framing his face with his hands. “Have I told you lately how much I love you?”
“You can never say it enough,” Wiley whispered as he wrapped his arms around Baer.
He kissed Wiley gently. “You are my life. The sunlight in my every day. You make me look forward to getting out of bed and look forward to getting into it.” He grinned as Wiley parted his legs and he fell between them. He pressed against him, feeling his hard dick and soft balls through his jeans. “I’m thankful you came into my life, Wiley.”
Wiley blinked as his eyes grew moist. “Aw, Baer, you mean the world to me, too.” He squeezed him with his thighs. “Your words are better than being nominated for any award.”
He pressed their mouths together and whispered. “Well, how about I show you something even better than my words?”
“Yes, please.”
Grey
The end.
Grey sat back and grinned at his laptop. He’d done it. Finished another book and this one had been a bitch to write. He’d roped himself into corners, then had to figure out ways to get himself out of them. But he’d done it!
He stretched, feeling the pull of muscles in his neck from sitting in one place for so long. He should go work out, or go for a swim, but instead, he got up and poured himself a celebratory drink. Intense relief almost made him light-headed, but it was tinged with a little sadness to be leaving that world behind.
But it was brief this time. He’d promised himself a couple of weeks off after completing this one and was looking forward to every moment.
Walking to the window, he smiled to see Baer out playing with Ruby. Sunlight sparkled on the pool as Dane cleaned it.
Grey and Cort had talked about moving into a place of their own, but they both liked their apartment. It was set just far enough out to give them privacy, and they were still part of the big group Grey now considered family. He loved the large dinners they shared and enjoyed the view of the huge house and pool.
