“You guys just missed Matthew and Karrie,” John says.

“Oh, shit, sorry we were otherwise”—he looks around, trying to think of a word—“entertained.”

Dani bursts out laughing. “Since when are you shy about telling us about your banging adventures?” She nods at me. “I like you already.”

“I don’t kiss and tell,” Noah says, sitting next to them while pulling me down next to him.

His arm goes to the back of the couch around my shoulders while the Cooper guy laughs out loud, inputting, “Dude, you kiss and brag.”

John leans forward to say, “Fuck, once he showed me a picture of his dick. I almost threw up.”

I lean back into the crook of his arm, laughing.

“That’s because you found out your dick was small and you knew you had no chance left in life,” he says, pointing at him with his water bottle.

John just laughs at him while Dani leans in. “Your cock is just fine. Don’t let him get to you.”

We all laugh now.

It’s then that I see Lauren walking up the stairs with Austin following right behind her.

“Hey,” I say when she is close enough. “Where have you been?” I ask, leaning over Noah to look at her, while we slide over in the booth, giving them space to sit down.

Austin sits first and then pulls Lauren down on his lap. I take in my sister, hair a little disheveled, cheeks pink.

I open my mouth and lean in. “You totally just had sex!”

She gasps loudly and looks at me, trying to deny it by shaking her head.

“Oh, yes, you did. You are glowing and have the ‘I’ve just been fucked’ face. Trust me, I know that look.” I point to myself with both fingers.

Lauren looks around to see that everyone is talking amongst themselves and the music is loud so no one is really paying attention to our conversation. “You’re crazy,” she tells me and then changes the subject.

“I’m starving,” I say loudly, and everyone agrees.

“Pizza?” Dani suggests, standing up. “Let’s go.”

We all get up to make our way outside.

We follow the gang outside while I look around the club that is getting even more busy. Walking outside, Noah makes his way to the valet, giving him his ticket and arranging to have the car delivered to him at home. I pull Lauren aside. “What did Jake want?”

She shakes her head. “Just to let me know he’s now engaged, and that I shouldn’t be dating my boss or at least that is what I got from it. After I saw the engagement ring, I zoned out.”

Some fans have spotted Cooper, and he goes over to them to take some pictures. While he’s doing that, the rest of us climb into a huge black party bus that Scarlett, the party planner, has ordered for guests who drink and don’t want to drive home.

“I can’t wait to take off these shoes,” Parker whines, propping her feet up in Cooper’s lap.

“You can wear flip-flops tomorrow when we go skating with Austin,” he tells her.

“Skating?” Lauren asks.

“Oh, yeah. I was telling them about Gabe, and since Matthew is in town and wants to run drills with Cooper, we are all meeting at the rink at noon.”

“Oh, that sounds like fun. Can I come?” John asks from his side of the bus.

“Can you skate?” Austin asks.

“Well, not like you guys, but I can keep up,” he states as Dani laughs out loud.

“Honey, I love you dearly, but you can’t skate.” Dani leans over and kisses his cheek.

“I’m coming,” Noah announces from his seat.

“You skate?” I ask him, suddenly getting hot again.

“Yeah, I played in college,” Noah says.

“He was pretty good, could have actually done it professionally if he didn’t follow in his family’s footsteps,” Cooper says.

“He was okay,” Austin puts in. “No need to get his head bigger than is possible.”

“Okay my ass, I was the second leading scorer of the teams. I had the most minutes on the defensive line.”

“I was top scorer,” Cooper says. “In case anyone is asking.” He laughs while Parker laughs at him.

We spend two hours at the pizza place, laughing over their stories from the ‘old days.’

Austin asks Lauren, “Your place or mine?”

I guess that settles the question if they are together or not.

“I’m going to Noah’s. So you can go home and have loud monkey sex without me hearing it.” I run up behind Noah, who has already flagged down a cab.

“Let’s swing by my house and grab some clothes for tomorrow,” Austin suggests, yelling at Noah to wait for them.

We wave goodbye to everyone as we cram into the cab. “You live near each other?” Lauren asks.

“I couldn’t leave my boo,” Noah jokes.

We pull up on their street, a chic, modern neighborhood, where all the houses are three stories high.

“I had no idea that you guys were neighbors,” I say to them when we get out of the cab. “There goes skinny dipping.” I blink at them while Austin fakes throwing up.
