Yikes.
That was definitely a stern tone. As she looked up, she saw Alexei giving Roman an interested look before his blue gaze moved back to her, piercing her.
“Sorry,” she whispered.
“Are you saying sorry because you hurt yourself?” Alexei asked. “Or because you let Salem make you come in the bath?”
“Um. Both.”
“You better not be apologizing for coming for me,” Salem growled at her.
Oh shit.
She was failing on all sides. She just didn’t want anyone to be upset with her.
Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath. This was ridiculous! Why did she care so much?
But she did . . .
“I’m sorry I’m so terrible at this.”
“You are not terrible at this,” Roman told her fiercely. “Look at me. Look at me, Tamsyn.”
She opened her eyes, staring into his gray ones. The look on his face was firm. There was no hesitance.
“You are not terrible at this. This is all new. Have you ever had a relationship with three men before?”
“Uh, no.”
She’d never had a relationship with anyone before.
“Then why do you think you should immediately know what to do or say? Why do you immediately think you’re terrible at it? There are three of us. Maybe we’re the ones who are crap at it.”
Her mouth dropped open. Them? But they were amazing at everything.
“I think you’re blowing this all into something bad and it’s not. I’m glad you trusted Salem to bring you to pleasure. Did you enjoy yourself?”
She groaned and buried her face in her hands.
“What?” Roman asked.
“I can’t believe you asked me that,” she cried.
Did he really expect her to answer?
“She enjoyed it,” Salem said. “I made sure of that.”
“After you actually let me come!” She sniffed. “I didn’t think you were ever going to give me.”
There was silence.
Oh shit.
Why did she go and say that?
“You made her wait until she had your permission?” Roman asked.
“Yes,” Salem replied calmly. “Because she was naughty and that was her punishment.”
“Interesting,” Roman said.
What? How was that interesting? And why was he tapping on his phone?
“What are you doing?” she asked.
“I’m keeping a diary about observations.”
“Observations about what?” she asked.
“You,” Roman said absentmindedly. “What you like and dislike. Punishments that work. Things that make you happy or uncomfortable. Any illnesses. Your cycle. When did you last menstruate?”
She let out a strangled groan. This was not happening.
“I already asked her that,” Salem said. “She isn’t sure when she last had a period.”
“Huh. I thought all women kept track of that sort of information,” Roman said.
“Well, clearly not,” she grumbled.
“Let me know when you next have a period and I’ll keep track for you.”
She put her hands over her hot cheeks. How did this conversation come about?
Salem leaned forward and kissed along her neck. “Don’t worry about jealousy. Like we said earlier. There will be times we’re all together or just one-on-one. You don’t have to worry about the other people feeling jealous because that’s on us. Not you. Jealousy is normal. But we don’t want those emotions affecting you. We all want this to work. We all want a relationship with you so it’s up to each of us to manage our emotions.”
Everything he said sounded so good. But she still wasn’t sure that it would be that simple.
You just have to make sure you spend time with each of them alone.
Her gaze rose to Alexei who was being surprisingly quiet. That wasn’t normal for him. Was he upset?
“Get some rest, baby,” Alexei told her with a wink. “You’re gonna need it.”
All right. Maybe he wasn’t upset.
Maybe he was just plotting the ways he was going to make her come.
Yikes.
“Also, I like seeing you in my sweatshirt; although I know you’ll look even better in nothing at all.”
She was out of her depth.
Swimming in the ocean without a flotation device.
She was not ready.
Salem kissed the side of her neck before lifting her off him and placing her in bed. He tucked the covers around her and turned off the television.
Tamsyn knew she should take off her sweatshirt, she was going to roast. But she couldn’t bring herself to move.
Plus, she liked wearing a piece of each of them.
“Roman will put you to bed, all right,” Salem murmured. “Be a good girl and go right off to sleep. Do you need anything?”
“She probably wants some water,” Alexei said. “I’ll go get her some.”
“What about a nightlight?” Salem asked. “You could leave the light on in the bathroom and just adjust the door.”
“I don’t need a nightlight,” she reassured him.
Such an idea was laughable.
If she’d ever needed one, she’d had it trained out of her to want it.
“Are you sure?” Roman asked. “You’re in a new place. When I’m somewhere new, I often wake up disoriented.”
“I’ll be all right.”
She was used to waking up in strange places. This certainly wasn’t the worst place she’d ever slept. Alexei returned with a water bottle which he placed on the bedside table.
