“Thank God you didn’t bring him with you tonight.”
Worth scowled. “I would never put him in danger like that, but I thought about him every second I was there.”
I turned to look at Worth. “You did?”
“Yes, I told you that.”
He had, but it was still hard to believe. Warmth filled me at his reassurance.
“I’ve never seen you like this, Worth.” Beck said. “While you were up on the roof, your friends told me the same thing. They’re convinced Laurie is The One for you. I’m just having a hard time believing it.”
“Can you try?” I asked. “I want to stay here with Worth. I want to explore where things can go for us, but I also want you to still be my friend. And the bond between you and Worth is so important, especially considering the rest of your family circumstances.”
Beck looked at each of us and let out a long breath. “I’ll learn to accept it because the two of you look happy in a way I’ve never seen either of you. That has to mean something.”
Worth huffed. “Damn right it does.”
“So we have your blessing?”
Beck rolled his eyes. “Yes, Laurence, you have my blessing, and you”—he reached out and took my hand—“have my friendship. Always.”
“Thank you.” I blinked back tears.
Beck hugged me, then looked at Wroth. “Do not hurt him, or I will come for you, brother or not.”
“I couldn’t hurt him without breaking my own heart,” Worth said.
“Damn, Laurence, you’ve turned him all sappy.” We all laughed, then Beck glared at Worth. “One rule. Absolutely no sex talk.”
Worth rolled his eyes. “I think we can manage that.”
“Did you seriously tell him details about other men you’ve been with?” I asked.
“Only when I wanted to embarrass him.”
We sat there for another hour or so, talking, eating dinner, and flipping through TV channels to see if there was anything Beck wanted to watch. Finally, when I could barely keep my eyes open, Worth gave me a kiss and helped me to my feet. “Go and get ready for bed. I’ll be up once I get Beck settled.”
“I can help you.”
“No, you’re tired. Go on.” I didn’t try to protest anymore. I was too sleepy, and I thought they might need some time, just the two of them.

WORTH
Iended up talking to Beck for quite a while longer. He wasn’t sleepy, even though he knew he needed the rest. He was too wound up from everything that had happened. Finally, after telling him a lot of boring stories about my days playing CEO, I got him to fall asleep in one of the guest beds. I hurried across the hall, eager to be alone with Laurie.
I stripped off my clothes and slid into bed, wrapping myself around him. He was sound asleep, but still he snuggled back against me, obviously needing that contact as much as I did.
I slid my hand over his hip and caressed the curve of his ass. I let my hand move slowly up his side. He squirmed a bit when I hit a ticklish spot, but he still didn’t wake up. I rested a hand over his chest, needing to feel his steady heartbeat under my fingers. Temptation got the better of me, and I followed a path down his chest to his cock, then wrapped my fingers around the shaft and stroked him. He hardened rapidly under my touch, and soon he was pushing into the circle of my hand, still only half awake.
As I increased my pace, he looked over his shoulder at me. “What are you doing?”
“What do you think I’m doing?”
“We can’t, not with Beck here.”
“He’s sound asleep. You just have to be quiet.” I shifted so my warm breath caressed his ear. “Do you think you can do that? Do you think you can be my good, quiet boy?”
“Worth, he’ll be so upset if he hears us having sex.”
“Then don’t let him hear us.”
“I don’t know if I can do that. The things you do to me—” He groaned as I gripped his cock more tightly.
“I believe in you, Princess. I believe you can do anything you want. You’re so good.”
He whimpered. “The things those words do to me.”
“Then always be my good boy, and I’ll always say them.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
I found the lube stuffed under one of the pillows, slicked myself up and slid deep inside him. He tried his best to keep quiet, but I had to put my hand over his mouth when he came. It was fucking delicious hearing his muffled sounds of pleasure, knowing how he would scream my name if we were alone.
We’d have plenty of time for that now because he was mine, and he wasn’t going anywhere.

EPILOGUE
SIX MONTHS LATER.
laurie
Icouldn’t believe we’d actually reached this point. We’d worked for months on designs and having them turned into garments and accessories we could auction off. We’d chosen to produce several one-of-a-kind pieces, and all the profits would go to our new charity benefitting survivors of domestic abuse. With Worth’s connections and his knowledge of charitable foundations, we were able to get our creation off the ground quickly.
