Alec groaned, a pained sound, and bit down on the skin of Ed’s neck hard, his hips jerking. The hot rush of wetness between Ed’s thighs and the feeling of Alec shuddering behind him were what made Ed come, more than Alec’s hand on his cock. He cried out, pleasure flooding him as his cock pulsed and spilled in Alec’s grip. Alec stroked him through it, his lips and tongue soothing the bite on Ed’s neck in unspoken apology, gentle now.

Alec released Ed’s cock when it softened, but he didn’t roll away immediately. His arm was still heavy over Ed’s flank as he spoke. “If I go and get another flannel, will you be asleep again when I get back?”

Ed chuckled. “Quite possibly. But I can go. I need a piss anyway, and my mouth feels like something died in it.”

“That’s what you get for crashing out in other people’s beds without brushing your teeth first.” Alec sounded amused rather than irritated. “The bathroom’s the next door along the corridor. Flannels are in the cupboard under the sink. You can go first. You’re stickier than me.”

It was a challenge negotiating a strange flat in almost total darkness, but Ed managed to find the bathroom without tripping over or crashing into anything. The sudden glare off the white tiles and sink as he switched on the bathroom light made him wince and squint until his eyes adjusted.

He emptied his bladder as a matter of urgency and then cleaned off as much of the come as he could manage. That had been a fun little interlude, but thigh-fucking was a messy business. Thankfully his balls and crack were well trimmed, otherwise there was no way he would manage to get the spunk off without a shower, and somehow he didn’t think Alec would want him to make himself too much at home.

Finally he did the best he could to freshen his mouth up a bit with a finger and some toothpaste. He rinsed and spat and then studied his reflection. Leaning closer, he tilted his head to the side. “Bugger,” he muttered.

Alec had left a dark red mark sucked into the pale skin of Ed’s neck. It was in the exact spot where it would show above his collar when he started his new job on Monday. What a way to make a good first impression in the workplace.

Ed shook his head as he turned off the light and stepped back out into the darkness of the hallway. He paused for a moment, letting his eyes adjust, and went back into Alec’s room. “What time is it anyway?” he asked as Alec got out of bed.

“Just after three.”

“Ugh.”

“Go back to sleep.” Alec closed the bedroom door behind him.

This time Ed was still awake when Alec climbed back into the bed beside him. Ed was lying on his back. Alec settled on his side, facing away; he didn’t say anything.

Ed wondered what Alec would do if Ed tried to snuggle up, and his lips twitched as he imagined the possible reactions. Yeah. He wasn’t going to risk it. “Good night,” he whispered instead.

“Night,” Alec replied softly.

When Ed woke in the morning, he had the bed to himself. There was a warm patch next to him, so Alec couldn’t have been gone long. The rushing of water pipes suggested Alec was showering. Ed sighed. It didn’t look like a leisurely Saturday-morning shag was on the cards, then. Shame. After their little interlude in the small hours, Ed had hoped Alec might not be in too much of a hurry to get rid of him the next day.

A clock on the bedside table showed it was just after eight. Ed yawned and stretched, scratching his belly. It still felt distinctly crusty despite his middle-of-the-night ablutions.

Ed got out of bed and padded over to the window. The floorboards were chilly on his bare feet. He peeked through the heavy velvet curtains and saw a well-tended garden at the back of the building and more large houses behind that were similar to this one. He opened the curtains a little to let some light in, but not wide enough to give Alec’s neighbours a show. The sun was out, but frost dusted the lawn outside. Ed’s breath fogged the glass.

The sound of the water stopped abruptly with the clanking of old-fashioned plumbing. Not wanting to be caught standing naked at the window, Ed hastily retrieved his clothes from the floor where he’d shucked them off the night before. He was just fastening his jeans when the bedroom door opened and Alec came in, wearing nothing but a pair of skintight charcoal boxer briefs.

Jesus Christ. He was even more gorgeous in daylight.

Tall, dark, and handsome was a start but didn’t even begin to cover it. Alec was broad and lean with the perfect amount of muscle on his frame. He didn’t have the ripped look of someone who spent hours watching himself in the mirror in the gym, but his body was beautiful and spoke subtly of grace and power.
