I threw my head back and held hers in my hand as I face fucked her. It was her nails on my balls that did it again. The water was turning cold by the time I emptied my nuts onto her tongue. “Now that’s the way to start the day.” I helped her up and we took another shower and got ready for the day.

All day I smiled in fond memory of her until it was time for my meet. Nile Sorenson was a man in his seventies. My research revealed that he’d inherited his millions and the business he’d just taken public from a long line of Sorensons going back to the eighteen hundreds. He didn’t appear at all to be the type of man that would let someone like Jen get one over on him, so the reasons behind it had to be good.

He came into the office, a huge barrel of a man. Not fat by any stretch of the imagination, just well built with a shock of white hair and piercing blue eyes that stared at me right off the bat as if taking my measure.

“Thorpe.” He reached out a hand, which I took before showing him to the chair across from my desk. This wasn’t a business meeting and because of the subject matter I wanted to put the other man at ease as much as possible, so instead of my power seat behind the desk I took the chair next to his.

“Thanks for coming Mr. Sorenson, you’re a hard man to pin down.”

“I’m still not sure what I’m doing here. You didn’t say much in that cryptic phone call but I’m sure you knew that the mention of certain people would’ve got me here, so here I am. What is it that you want?”

“I think you’ve got the wrong idea. I didn’t ask you here to add to whatever that pariah did, I want answers. You see Jen tried the same tactics with me as she did with you and Henry Jonas.” I saw his shoulders relax as he eased back in his chair. “Quite frankly sir, I want information, I want as much as I can get to take her down. You see, certain things have come to light about the young lady and I want to expose her for what she is. I don’t much care to be made a fool of and she came damn close to succeeding.”

“Well!” He fixed his cuff and looked around the room. “I looked into you before coming here of course. You have a hard reputation in our circles. You’re not a tottering old fool as I and Henry were so it begs the question why she’d come after you.”

“I’ve been asking myself the same thing to no avail. I was hoping we could compare notes and see where that leads. I’m sure you’ve had her checked out after the fact, but I seem to be hitting a wall, which tells me there’s something behind that wall that she’s trying very hard to keep hidden.”

“Did you find the lover?” He asked as his mouth twisted with distaste. There was still lingering embarrassment and maybe a little pain there. It made me feel bad for him and I was once again grateful to my babygirl for saving me from his fate.

“Yeah, he wasn’t hard to find once I was led in the right direction. What I don’t know is what they’ve done with the money they’ve stolen. It doesn’t show up anywhere.”

“She had me send it to an offshore account.”

“I know but it disappeared from there without a trace.”

“I see.” He studied me with a new light in his eyes. I didn’t need to tell him that it would take some illegal maneuvering to get that kind of information, I’m sure he knew.

“Well, I got as far as finding the lover but that was it. By that point I was feeling like such a damn fool I let the whole thing drop, but I can’t say as I wouldn’t like to get some of my own back. She humiliated me. A man in my position can’t be made to look like an ass in front of his peers. I played it off but I’m sure most of them knew the truth. Almost broke me what she did. You see I was foolish enough to fall for her. By the time I realized what she was it was too late.”

He got lost in memory for a while and I let him. The whole story was written across his face and it was evident that he wasn’t quite over it yet. “I’d like to know what Jonas has to say about all this. We’ve never discussed our shared misfortune and I’m guessing he has his reasons same as I. But maybe it’s time we stopped hiding behind a wall of shame for being stupid and get to the bottom of this.
