I rubbed my belly, sitting back to look at the painting. I had a couple of weeks to go before I was out of my first trimester, and my belly was already bloating, giving me a pregnant look though I knew it was too early for me to legit show yet.

But based on what I was eating, I had a feeling I was having a little boy. All I craved was spicy and salty things. In fact, just the thought of something sweet made my stomach twist with nausea.

I smiled at the picture in front of me. I still felt bad that Axel was being forced to wait his turn to have a baby with me and was instead having to watch as my body nurtured Julian’s child.

This painting was my way of including him as another father for my little boy.

In the painting, Julian was standing behind me with his arms wrapped around my waist, and both of us were smiling at Axel as he held my little boy in his arms. I was crying tears of happiness in the painting, my tears the color of Julian’s and Axel’s eyes.

My little boy had his hand on Axel’s cheek, a silent way of my little boy accepting Axel as his other dad.

I cleaned up my paint brushes as I waited for paint on the canvas to dry. I wanted to give it to Axel this evening before dinner, which wouldn’t be too much longer. I’d heard the guys ordering pizza about fifteen minutes ago.

Once I was finished, I walked back over to the easel, a smile crossing my lips when I realized the paint was finally dry. I lifted it off the easel and walked out of the room to the kitchen where I heard the guys getting plates together. They both looked up at me when I stepped in.

“Hey, baby girl,” Julian greeted. “What’s that?” he asked, nodding his head towards the canvas in my hands.

“It’s something for Axel,” I told him.

Axel pulled his head out of the fridge and closed the door, turning to face me. “Something for me?” he asked, surprise coating his voice.

I swallowed thickly, suddenly nervous. His expression softened. “I, um,” I drew in a deep breath, “I’ve been a bit conflicted about the fact that I’m pregnant with Julian’s baby. Because I feel like it’s unfair to you. You want a family with me, and I know that we’ve already discussed this, but I just—I feel bad,” I told him. “I know that’s something I’ll learn to cope with and wrap my head around with time but doing this painting has helped.”

I silently handed him the canvas before he could respond. He sucked in a sharp breath as he held the painting in his hands, his eyes welling with tears. “Meghan, fuck, sweet girl, it’s fucking beautiful,” he whispered, his voice hoarse with emotions. He set the painting on the table before he drew me into his arms and slanted his lips across mine.

He slid his hand under my shirt and placed his hand over my belly. “No matter what, sweet girl, I have always and will always consider this little one as one of my children, whether it’s biological or not,” he told me. “But that painting means fucking everything to me, sweet girl. Thank you for wanting me to be a part of this.”

Julian pressed his body against my back and slid his hand over my belly as well. Tears slid down my cheeks. “Our little one gets two dads, baby girl.” My bottom lip trembled as my heart swelled with so much love for my two men. “That painting means that you’re coming to terms with it all whether you realize it or not, baby.”

I swiped at my cheeks. “I love you both,” I told them.

Julian pressed a kiss to my neck, and Axel slanted his lips across mine. “And we love you,” they both said at the same time.

Axel squatted down and lifted my shirt, revealing my bloated belly. He pressed a kiss to my stomach. “And I love this little one, sweet girl.”

“Can’t wait until you start showing, baby girl,” Julian spoke up. “You’re going to be fucking adorable as fuck.”

I glowered at him. “Adorable isn’t the word that I would use,” I told him as I ran my fingers through Axel’s hair. He rested his chin on my belly, looking up at me.

Julian grinned. “Opinions,” he said with a wave of his hand. I scowled. “I’m excited to see if you’re going to get big enough to balance a plate of food on it.”

I laughed and shoved his shoulder. “Maybe one day you can get fat and figure that out for yourself.”

He lifted his shirt as he looked down at his abs. I licked my lips, my humorous mood now forgotten. Axel laughed softly. “Someone is turned on.” He gripped my leggings and pulled them down my legs, a wicked smirk on his lips.
