When the pregnancy test came out positive, she huffed and muttered, “I’m going to start locking my office door when I’m writing sex.”
That proved to be untrue since, after Chad, we made our next baby when I took her to a cabin to finish a book because she was up against a deadline.
I wouldn’t take the blame for that one. She’d practically jumped me when I came inside after chopping wood.
“That’s it,” she panted after giving birth to Mason. “That’s the last of your giant babies I’m pushing out.”
Honestly, as much as I loved seeing Thea round with our baby and wouldn’t mind having more kids, I was tired of seeing her in so much pain during the birth. After five babies, I didn’t want to put her through it anymore.
“Whatever you want, baby,” I told her sincerely.
“But um…” Thea blushed, and I tilted my head, watching her with amused curiosity. “That doesn’t mean the sexcapades have to end.”
I laughed, then kissed her softly. “Of course not. Where would you find all of your inspiration?”
