She tried to control it, but a sob burst from her lips. It was so hard trying to wrangle everything. Fighting off Troy’s attempts to take everything and struggling to rebuild her life had taken every microsecond of her time. Could he really want to take all that off her shoulders?

“Is that possible?” she questioned.

“Daddies make many things possible. If their Little girls let them,” he assured her.

She heard him rustle with something and then he tenderly scooped her out of the corner and into his arms. Sue buried her head against him and clung to his toned body. Doubts gathered in her mind. This man was too amazing for her.

“Stop whatever you’re thinking. I’ve claimed you. Feel what’s in your bottom. That plug is a symbol to help remind you that you’re mine and Daddy’s in control. You may wear it frequently until you understand that I’m not letting you go. You’re my Little girl.”

“Forever?” burst from her lips before Sue could stop it.

“And ever and ever.” Davis’s arms tightened around her.

Seconds passed as he held her pressed against his hard body. Sue loved the feel of his strength supporting her. Even more than the restrained power in his muscles, she treasured the incredible man who had decided she was the one he wanted.

Gathering her courage, Sue nodded against him. “I think I understand now.”

“In time you’ll remember on your own. Until then, I’ll jog your memory.” He patted her bottom fondly, jostling the plug slightly.

Suddenly the invader inside her didn’t seem so bad. She peeked up at him. His face was calm and concerned. He hadn’t gotten mad at her. Davis had helped her think through her knee-jerk reaction to push him away. “I’m sorry.”

“I’m not. I think we understand each other better now, don’t you?”

“Yes, Daddy.”

“Good girl. Let’s get dressed and go shopping.”

“Do I take the plug out or do you?” she asked.

“That plug’s staying right there until we get home. Come on, Cherry.”

Leading her to the dresser, he opened a drawer and pulled out a pair of stretchy boxers. He knelt at her feet. “Lift one foot, Little girl,” he instructed, holding the boxers as if he wanted her to step into them.

“I can’t wear your underwear.”

“Why not? I want you to wear something clean. Somehow doing laundry last night wasn’t high on our list.”

“They won’t fit,” she whispered.

“Let’s see. Step.”

Swallowing hard, Sue threaded one foot into the garment and then the other. Davis pulled the fabric up around her until it smoothed perfectly into place. He ran a hand over her bottom and patted it to remind her who was in charge.

“They fit,” she said in amazement.

“They do. I think your jeans are in good shape.” Davis lifted them from the neat pile she had left her clothes in when she changed into her bathing suit.

“They’re fine. I didn’t do anything messy.”

“Perfect.”

When she was dressed on the bottom half, he helped her into her bra and pulled a T-shirt from another drawer. Sue laughed as she looked down at the message emblazoned on the front.

Property of Fitness Haven.

Chapter Thirteen

Davis turned into the parking lot of a large, well-known furniture store and parked the car. “Ready to go shopping?”

“They’re going to have furniture for my nursery here? I’ve bought furniture here and never saw anything like that.”

“You weren’t looking in the right section.” Davis slid from the driver’s seat and rounded the hood to let her out.

“Really?”

He just winked and took her hand. Sue followed him into the store and past the friendly greeter. Davis walked purposefully to a door marked Employees Only. Leaning back, she resisted when he led her to it.

“That’s only for people who work here,” she hissed.

Davis didn’t answer. He patted her bottom as he held her gaze. When he tugged her forward a second time, Sue swallowed hard and allowed him to usher her through the doorway. She looked behind her as the door closed, waiting for someone to yell at them, but no one reacted like they were invading restricted space.

Turning around, she expected to see a stockroom with boxes. Sue felt her mouth fall open as she looked at the enchanting display in front of her. It was a store for Littles. Stuffies lined shelves in front of her. Clothing displays filled a section on the right. It looked like any commercial store. Groups of furniture occupied the left side of the store, set up like nurseries and playrooms. The only difference was the size of the cribs and other beautiful choices.

“Where would you like to start? Should we pick out furniture for your nursery or some clothes for you to have at Daddy’s house?”

“Cribs,” she answered, drawn to the gorgeous wooden beds that she’d fantasized about after delving into stories.

Davis let her lead him from arrangement to arrangement. Sue looked for prices, but nothing was labeled. She loved a grouping made of white oak. It had a definite wood grain through it and wasn’t too light or too dark.
