“Axel loves you too. You should see how that man clocks your every movement,” Clara says.

“You all are so lucky,” I say, wishing I could find somebody who looks at me like that.

Brock only views me as a Vegas piece of ass. Somebody to pass the time with. It depresses me a little until Anya smiles at me.

“I’ve noticed the way Brock’s eyes shine when he’s staring at you, Willow. You should have seen him last night,” Anya says.

Hartford nods. “For real. He was all smiles when he saw you last night. That boy is whipped.”

Ha. As if.

However, I wonder if what they’re saying is true. Did Brock look at me in any certain way?

An hour later, I’m sitting by the pool, enjoying a Pina Colada. We're all out here—Hartford, Anya, Felicity, February, Emma, Clara, and Shayne—having fun and chatting away about the wedding that’s coming up.

I honestly can’t wait to watch Hartford walk down the aisle. She’s going to be a stunning bride, and I’m so excited to see her in her dress. Anya is already planning an elaborate toast, while Felicity and Emma are discussing the latest wedding trends they’ve read about. Clara is flipping through a bridal magazine, pointing out different flower arrangements, and Shayne and Hartford are debating the best songs for the reception playlist.

The guys are still playing golf while we bake in the Nevada sun. It’s not hot at all. In fact, it’s sort of perfect on this sunny October day. The gentle breeze keeps us cool, and the clear blue sky makes everything feel like a picture-perfect moment. We’re lounging on comfortable pool chairs, dipping our feet in the water, and occasionally taking a refreshing swim.

“I don’t think he’s whipped,” I say absentmindedly, recalling the conversation from brunch earlier, my mind conjuring up ideas of Brock using a whip to punish me. Oh my god. What has Brock done to me? I grab my phone from my little clutch.

“He’s totally whipped. Do you see the way he stares at Lake? All possessive and shit,” Hartford says. “I wouldn't be surprised if they fight before the end of the trip.”

“I would put money on it,” Anya says. “I know Brock. He doesn’t like to share. He’d never share with us growing up.”

“I guess growing up with that many brothers makes him not keen on sharing,” Felicity says. She looks glamorous with a big floppy sun hat, and a long see-through robe over her one-piece bathing suit. She told us she’s still carrying some of the baby weight from having August, but I think she looks amazing.

I open up Brock’s name and send him a little text.

Me: Hi.

It’s short and simple, and I feel giddy after I hit send.

Brock: Hi. I’ve been thinking about you all morning long.

Me: Sorry I fell asleep.

I blush at the memory. I tried to stay awake, but I guess my body had been waiting for a release like that for years. I couldn’t have stayed awake if I wanted to. And boy, did I want to.

Brock: It’s okay. I know how good I am. I wore you out.

I smile, tapping away at the keys, laughing at Brock’s cocky reply.

Me: Maybe you bored me to sleep.

Brock: Ha. I don’t think so, Willow. You definitely weren’t bored into sleeping. It’s okay, you don’t have to admit you have a little thing for me.

Me: I do not have a thing for you.

Even after I type the words, I know I’m lying. It’s crazy, but I’ve developed this full-blown crush on Brock. And I’m not sure what to do about it.

Brock: Don’t worry. Tonight you definitely won’t be bored.

Me: Promise?

Brock: Willow, I promise I’m going to make you come harder than you ever have before. I’m going to make you scream louder than you ever have before, and I’m going to make you literally crawl up the walls in pleasure. I can’t wait to be deep inside you.

My skin erupts into flames. I’m sure I’m blushing, and I don’t even care. I squeeze my legs together as I try to calm my pounding heart.

Me: I’ll give you credit for one thing, and one thing only… your dirty talk is on point.

Brock: You can try to deny the fact that you loved having my tongue all over you. I know the truth. You want me…almost as much as I want you.

Me: How bad do you want me?

Brock: You have no idea, but I’ll show you tonight.

Chapter 16

Brock

“So close,” Tripp shouts, throwing his golf club.

“We’re definitely not the golfing type. We should’ve gone to hit balls at the batting cages,” I say, laughing at Tripp’s reaction.

“It’s just something fun to do,” Paxton says, swinging and missing his ball completely. “Fuck!”

“Yeah, a lot of fun,” I say.

“When it’s your wedding, you can decide on what fun we get to have,” Callum says, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
