“Yes,” I whimper. It’s all I can do to beg for more. To not let this ever stop.

He turns my head and takes my mouth to swallow my moans and groans, his tongue as forceful as his thrusts while he claims me in every way.

I start to feel lightheaded, wondering if maybe it’s too much, and that’s when he releases his grip around my throat, his hand trailing down my back until he circles a thumb around my asshole.

He toys with it, his cock hitting that spot inside me over and over again as his thumb slowly enters my ass, stretching me. It’s raw and rough and possessive and hot as fucking hell.

My legs begin to tremble as the build-up begins trailing up my thighs.

“Fuck, princess,” he pants. “Come for me.”

It’s not a question but a command.

And as defiant as I am against this man, my body is treacherous in all ways as I explode with his name on my lips. A shudder runs through me. And his cock twitches inside me one more time before he grunts, his power bleeding into me as we pant harshly.

It takes me a few moments to catch my bearings when I feel his arm embrace me, and his hand comes around my throat again. He squeezes as he leans over me. “Two fucking weeks, you drove me crazy, princess.” His grip tightens on my ass again, appreciatively, as he pulls out and steps away, doing up his pants.

I run my hand through my hair as I shimmy my dress down.

Am I out of my goddamn mind?

But the moment our gazes lock, I can’t regret it. Can’t regret this powerful man who knows how to navigate my body like it’s his personal mission in life.

“Top two?” he asks with an arrogant smile.

I shrug and flick my hair over my shoulder as I walk over to the polished wooden bar to pick up the files. “There was no cigar. So, no improvement, really.”

I flick open the folder and briefly scan the contents. The first picture is evidence enough of Brian’s lies. It’s an image of me showering in our women’s restroom. Something I frequently do when I go to my hot yoga class before work.

“He deserved a bullet.” Crue looms behind me.

I snap the folder shut as I turn toward him. “Maybe, but I don’t play at being God.”

“You should try it sometime.” He tips my chin to meet his gaze. “I think you’re scared to try because you know you’ll like it.”

I offer him a sickly sweet smile. “There are already enough things I like that are bad for me.”

“But you do like it. Let me show you what else you might like.”

Warmth floods my lower stomach again.

Fuck! If we do this, we’ll be lost in each other all night. I shouldn’t want this.

He nudges me again, grabbing my attention. “Princess, your mind keeps wandering off.”

“I got what I came here for,” I say as I push past him.

Surprisingly, he lets me leave the room.

I’m then reminded that ten men were outside the room the entire time. I hold my head high and nod to Dawson. “It was lovely meeting you.”

I don’t care about any of them, really, but it makes the situation less awkward as I begin to walk away.

It’s not so much that I have to look back, but I can sense Crue following me through the crowd. And the same bodyguard from earlier flanks me.

As we reach the cool air outside, I turn on Crue. “Also, I don’t like having bodyguards. I can protect myself.”

“By kicking your attacker in the balls?”

I smile. “It’s effective, isn’t it?”

“Crue.” Someone says his name, and without thinking, I turn in the direction the voice comes from. I watch in shocked horror as a man raises a gun. He’s dressed in holey clothes and looks like he hasn’t showered in days. “You deserve this and so much more.”

The loud bang echoes through the night. My first thought is that he hit Crue, but Crue’s hand touches my back. Don’t ask me how I know it’s him, I just do. Opening my eyes, I see the man who had the gun is now on the ground, blood pooling around him as he bleeds on the cold concrete.

“I’ll take her home.” I look up at one of Crue’s men—the same bodyguard I’d announced I didn’t need only thirty seconds ago. He puts his gun away, in no way affected by killing this man.

“Straight back to her place. Ensure she gets inside and stand at her door until further notice.” The man nods his head as if it’s an everyday order. Maybe it is for him because he doesn’t even seem to blink or care that he just got told what to do.

I turn to face Crue.

I’m so shocked by how quickly everything is happening, and then he reaches for my face. “Goodnight, princess.” He leans in and kisses the corner of my mouth before he pulls away and is gone.
