CHAPTER 4

That afternoon Don had hurried across the street to the bank where he kept his expense account for the business and withdrew four thousand dollars.

She was still sitting where he’d left her when he came back and the waitress had placed his regular order in the place across from Melissa’s. He looked at the food and back to her. “I told her it was okay to put it there. I even covered it to protect it from flies.” She explained.

He slid back into his seat and passed the envelope full of cash to her discreetly. “What’s this Melissa asked as she looked at the envelope suspiciously, though she already knew what was in there. It had the name of the bank and its logo on the flap.

“Your rent and a little extra.” She’d just looked at him, and back down at the envelope. “I don’t know…”

“Oh please take it.” He was begging her to take his money, just what she wanted, but she wanted more than a one-time payoff.

“And what do I owe you for this kindness?”

“I…I just want to take care of you. A woman like you shouldn’t have to suffer to make ends meet.”

“What do you want Don, spell it out for me.”

“I want to have sex with you.” His face turned bright red and she barely held back a laugh.

“Do you think I’m a prostitute Don?” She added enough heat to her voice to have him reeling back quickly. “No-no, that’s not what I meant. I meant to say, would you be my mistress? We could work out some kind of arrangement that’s suitable for you. You won’t even have to work.”

“I like my job.”

“But…” She pretended to gather up her things, leaving the money on the table. “No wait, okay you can still work there, just…”

“No buts or just. If I agree to this it doesn’t mean that you own me. It will just be like any other business arrangement. What I do on my own time has nothing to do with you.”

“Okay, okay, anything you say.” He would’ve agreed to anything at that moment, but it still didn’t seem to be enough when she grabbed her bag and got up from her seat. “Where are you going? I thought…

“Let’s go see your office Don, unless you’re really hungry for that.” She picked up the envelope and stuffed it in her purse. Don almost tripped over his own feet in his rush to get out of the booth. At the last minute he remembered to drop some bills on the table to cover both their meals and a tip before hustling her out of the diner.

Things were going according to plan as far as Melissa was concerned and all that was left was for her to seal the deal. They walked into his office, which was less than a five-minute walk and right past his secretary. “You may go to lunch Sarah, take as long as you’d like.”

He barely kept his voice from shaking with excitement as he tried to give the older woman the impression that Melissa being there was business related. Sarah was only too happy to be given carte blanche for her lunch period. She’d seen a dress in a store window on her way in this morning and the stores will be closed by the time she clocked out, so this was just perfect.

She’d barely cleared the door of the outer office before Melissa was moving in for the kill in his office with the door locked. “So, tell me Don, what exactly do you like?” She put her hands on his shoulders and rubbed herself up against him, moving to the beat that was playing in her head.

“Who me? I…I like anything, anything you want to do is fine.” He had to swallow since his mouth had gone dry and he was afraid he was going to embarrass himself any second. She ran her hands down his chest as she pressed her body even closer to his.

She tugged at the knot in his tie, loosening it until it came open and she slid it from around his neck. Stepping back, she dropped her purse on the visitor’s chair and lifted her hand to the tiny buttons that sat between her breasts.

She wasn’t wearing a bra beneath the short summer dress she’d worn for the occasion so when the top fell open her cleavage was on full display. “Undress for me Don!” He hurried out of his shirt and tripped over his pants when they got snagged on his shoes.

He walked around his desk and sat on the chair to remove his shoes and socks before getting rid of the annoying pants. When he looked up his dream was standing right in front of him in nothing more than a pair of lacy red thongs.
