While the two of them headed to the closet, I took a seat in the living room and called my boss. I thought he’d be more upset when I told him I was quitting, but he sounded relieved. Apparently, I had an attitude when dealing with customers. Go figure.

I wasn’t sure what was in store for my professional life. Could Viggo and I live forever off of his investments? That was a long time. I was happy to work to help support us, but I had a feeling Viggo wouldn’t agree. He had an Alpha vibe to him that was hot as hell. I guess I’ll have to find a way to accept being a kept man. What a hardship.

Remy joined me and we chit-chatted for a few minutes as we waited for Viggo. I liked Remy; he was kind and easy to talk to. He was obviously an important part of Viggo’s life, so he was important to me as well. I hoped we continued to grow closer over time.

Viggo entered the room and I stood up as my jaw dropped. He’d changed out of his nice but dated slacks and dress shirt, and was wearing a pair of brick-colored jeans and a cream Henley top. Both fit snugly against his skin, allowing me to see his muscles beneath. They looked like they were handcrafted for him and painted on. He was timeless; perfect in any fashion.

“Do I look okay?” he asked, and I realized I hadn’t said a word yet. He was the only one to ever steal them.

“Okay? You look sexy as fuck!” He gave me a confused but proud smile as I walked over to him and put my hands on his chest, curious if they felt as good under the soft cotton as they looked. They were even better. “I swear, if those clothes didn’t belong to Remy, I’d rip them right off of you.” Viggo’s eyes darkened while his friend chuckled at my naughty words.

“Tell you what,” Remy said as he appeared by Viggo’s side, “This outfit is my gift to you; do what you wish with it. For now, I think it’s time to take your beloved on that date.” Even Remy could tell I was about to explode with horniness. He probably didn’t want the mess in his living room.

“I couldn’t agree more,” Viggo nodded before lifting me off of the floor and tossing me over his shoulder as I squealed. I waved to a laughing Remy as my mate carried me out the front door.

I never thought driving sixty-five miles per hour down the highway would feel slow, but after experiencing Viggo’s speed, driving the car couldn’t compare. I fully planned on asking him to carry me as often as he thought it was safe to do so.

We still had fun as I drove along, though. I turned on the radio and blew Viggo’s mind. I smiled as he inspected the speakers and turned the knob until he found some music he liked. He wasn’t a fan of the pop station; he said he couldn’t understand what the singers were saying. I felt for him; I couldn’t understand what the hell they were saying half the time, either.

His favorite was a big band station. He loved the trill of the trumpets and the upbeat tempo. I could easily picture him swaying along at a concert in the 30s, dressed in a plaid suit. The mental image both warmed and broke my heart; I hated that he had missed so much of his life. I vowed to show him everything good in the world.

“Well, this is it,” I announced when we entered my second floor apartment. I waved my hand around, realizing that a tour wasn’t necessary, as you could pretty much see everything from where we stood. “This is the living room-slash-kitchen. Through that first door is the bathroom, and the other door is the bedroom.”

It was much smaller than Remy’s home. The apartment building was aging visibly; the carpet was thinning, the paint was fading, and there were electricity blackouts from time to time.

“Rent is crazy in the city, and this is all I could afford when I got kicked out.” I was so proud when I signed the lease, and was still proud of making it on my own. “I’m up for moving, though, if you don’t like it. I don’t have any special attachment to the place or anything. It’s always had what I needed, but…”

Viggo stopped my blabbering with a hand to my cheek. “I think it’s lovely. We can stay or move, whatever you wish. The only thing that matters to me is being with you. Home is wherever you are.” His sweet words made my heart skip a beat. “Besides, this is much bigger than my last place.”
