“Hayden, remember, I said no more facts that would make me hate him even more.”

“Trust me. I’m starting to feel that way. But Cody, I agree. I’m having a lot of fun, and I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing where this goes. I really like you. And I have a lot of fun with you, so I guess you could say, I’m getting a bit of a crush too.”

He beams.

He moves close to me and kisses me. I enjoy the taste of his lips once again.

As he pulls away, he says, “Good. Now that we’ve got that settled, I want you to know I’m serious about you seeing other guys. I don’t want you to feel obligated to hook up with just me. Have you messaged Sebastian yet?”

“Oh, wow. You’re not just telling me I can see other guys. You’re pimping me out now?”

“Hell yeah. With a cock like that, you need to be pimped out. And trust me on this, Sebastian might be a big, strong man, but he’d be a good bottom for you. Not as good as this ass, but good enough.”

He winks, and just thinking about the hot sex we had makes my dick twitch.

“I messaged him earlier in the week,” I say, “but he had to go to his family’s in North Carolina for Turkey Day. He won’t be back until next week.”

“Well, go ahead and set up a date with him. And we can hit the town some more and find you hot ass all over the place. I’m not finished being your wingman just yet. Trust me, now that you have my referral, you can get all the action you’ll ever need.”

“I think I’m liking this you being sweet on me thing.”

He rolls his eyes. “Are you picking on me now?”

“Just a little bit. But it’s kind of adorable. You crushing on me, that is.”

“Stick around, and you’ll see exactly how adorable I can be.”

“Oh, I’m definitely going to be sticking around to see. You just keep surprising me.”

“What can I say? I’m not like most other guys.”

That’s what I like about him.

I’ve enjoyed all the time we’ve spent together. Far beyond anything we’ve done in the bedroom. And I appreciate that he’s not forcing me to make some big decision right now. That he’s letting things happen naturally. I’m still getting over Lance, and this is really fucking soon to be getting into a relationship. I don’t want Cody to wind up being the rebound guy—someone who I lean on because I need the emotional support right now. I wouldn’t want to use him like that. Even if things didn’t work out with us, I’d still want to be friends.

And he’s a good friend. I’d be devastated if I did something to fuck that up.

“Okay,” I say. “So let’s give it a try and see where this leads.”

He grins. Pushing me onto my back, he straddles me before swooping down for a kiss. He breaks it and whispers, “Well, now that we’ve got that settled, I think I deserve a little ass.”

“Oh, you deserve it?”

He nods and says, “I need to know if it’s a piece of ass worth investing in.”

“Uh oh. I’m worried if I let you up in there, you might not want to leave.”

His eyes narrow like he takes that as a promise more than a joke.

“Don’t worry,” Cody says. “If you get tired, we can find some willing sailor who can give us both a break.”

I know he’s teasing, but if we do wind up getting serious, I wouldn’t want to bring other guys into the relationship.

“I should mention, though,” I say, “if we did start doing something serious, I wouldn’t want to fuck around with other guys. Once I’m with someone, I just want to be with them. Three-ways are fun when I’m single and all, but if I’m with a guy, I’m greedy and want him all to myself.”

“See?” Cody says. “Already more things in common than we knew.”

He kisses me again. I grip his ass, appreciating how it feels in my hands before he kisses across my face to my ear.

“Ready for round two?” he whispers, his breath tickling at my flesh.

“More than ready.”

Me, Gare, and Derek sit at Newk’s, down the street from Metropolis.

Since none of us had to work on Black Friday, I called an emergency meeting to discuss what happened after they left yesterday. I tell them about how Cody has a crush on me, and that I kind of have one on him too, but that we’re leaving things open.

“This seems really fast,” Derek says after swallowing a mouthful of his chicken Caesar salad.

Gary takes a sip from his Arnold Palmer. “It sounds like he’s being very reasonable, though,” he interjects.

“Yeah, but Hayden needs lots of sex, and clearly they’re both tops, so it’s just going to become a big problem later. Won’t work out.”
