Axel silently held his hand out to me. With a deep breath, I set my coffee cup on the counter and placed my hand in his, allowing him to pull me to him. He wrapped his arm around my waist and placed his other hand on the curve of my waist, holding me against him. “I don’t see that ever happening, Meghan. I haven’t looked at another woman since I started falling for you.”

He leaned forward and stopped right before his lips met mine. My breath hitched in my throat. “I really want to kiss you, sweet girl. Is that okay?”

I placed my hands on his bare chest and nodded my head. A soft moan escaped me as his lips met mine. He released a low groan, his hand sliding up to the back of my head. He clenched a fistful of my hair and angled my head a certain way to deepen the kiss. My body shuddered as I gripped his shoulders, kissing him back as hard as he was kissing me.

He slowly pulled back and pressed a kiss to my cheek. “This is all at your pace now, sweet girl. However you want to do this, however you need us, you just tell us.”

I trailed the tips of my fingers over his jaw line. “It’s really going to be this easy between us?” I quietly asked him.

He wrapped his long fingers around my wrist and pressed a kiss to my palm. “As easy as you want it to be.” He leaned forward and pecked my lips again. “Get a shower. You have an appointment with Dr. Gresham at eleven, and I have to take you. Julian has another meeting with his agent and then a therapy session afterwards.”

“Work everything out?” Julian asked as he stepped into the kitchen. He smiled at me when I turned to look at him. Axel’s arm was still wrapped around me, holding me to his shirtless frame.

“For the most part, I think,” I told him, a small sigh of relief leaving my lips when I noticed he didn’t look angry or upset. In fact, he looked happy for me.

“Good.” He walked over and grabbed my face in his hands and kissed me, his lips working with mine. I moaned as I wrapped my hands around his wrists, kissing him back just as hard. He slowly pulled back from me, a lazy smile on his face. “My agent needs to talk to me, and then I have an appointment with my therapist later. Axel is going to take you to your appointment with Dr. Gresham.”

“Are you okay?” I asked him. I was worried about him. He always seemed so strong, but I knew that even the strongest of us could be hiding something.

He nodded. “I’m fine, baby girl. But like you, sometimes I need to get someone on the outside of everything to help me. Seeing a therapist has really helped me, baby.”

I blew out a soft breath. “You’re really okay with this?” I asked him.

“Yes, baby,” he assured me, always patient with me. He pressed a kiss to my lips. “I’ll bring some Chinese food home for dinner. I’ll see you this evening. I love you.”

I smiled up at him. “I love you, too.”

He pressed a kiss to my forehead before he nodded once at Axel and disappeared from the kitchen, heading towards the garage. Axel leaned down and kissed me before he eased his arm from around me and tapped my ass. “Get a move on, sweet girl. You’ve got less than an hour before we need to leave for your appointment with Dr. Gresham.”

I blushed. Axel laughed softly. “Get your cute ass in gear.” He grabbed my coffee off the counter. “And drink this. Otherwise, you’ll get a headache and be a grumpy pain in the butt for the rest of the day.”

I shot him a teasing smile as I grabbed my coffee from his hand. “You love it when I’m a pain in the ass.”

Axel rolled his eyes. “Meghan, you’ve got two seconds to get into that bathroom, or I will put you in there myself.”

I squeaked in alarm as a blush tinted my cheeks. I dashed out of the kitchen, leaving his laughing form behind me, still leaning against the counter.

Dr. Gresham offered me a warm smile as I stepped onto the walkway where I knew he would be waiting. He knew I hated the stuffy environment of his little office, so anytime we had a session, it would always be outside. And if it was raining, we rescheduled for the next day.

“You look happier,” he noted. “I assume the medications are working a bit better?”

I nodded. “There were some . . . changes as well,” I informed him, a blush staining my cheeks.

“Oh? Let’s hear about them.”

My cheeks darkened even further. “Um, I’m kind of in a . . . relationship . . . with both Julian and Axel,” I explained.
